Super dope. Loving it!
It seems this app is border line abandoned and is getting worse . Audio paste is one of the most annoying ways to get your samples into impc pro 2. You used to be able to load your samples directly into the app. This latest update claims to have fixed the audio paste crashing issue. I’m still experiencing this issue even after the update. I have not been able to use this app for a few years the way I used to. I used to be able to load samples directly to the app but now you have to use audio copy app. This app just never seemed to be stable and many users have reported the same. Akai/Retronyms should take notes from Koala, BM3, and groove rider. Logic Pro for iPad is also making its way to the top. This app is also getting super dated on top of it not being stable. It looks good on paper and would be amazing if it actually work as all the important features are there. Guess I’ll go back to BM3
These guys should study the free apps in this category because in my opinion they are much better. And this is not akai just doesn’t match akai standards. It frequently crashes.
It use to be good now it constantly crashes, glitches and when you export it has static in the music. You have to try multiple times and when you think you finally have a clean version of your song there’s a mistake somewhere in the middle or the end it doesn’t work well with auto copy also iMini doesn’t work well and it’s recommended.
Please add the ability to sample from the files app!
The app cannot be used to make full productions unless you’re ok with very basic editing and mixing abilities. This app would be much better in Cubasis, and I was using it inter-app, but that no longer works. None of my old projects that had iMPC in Cubasis load iMPC Pro 2 anymore. Please make an auv3 of this so it can be actually used to make music. This version is a toy, basically. Update (2024) - used it again to make a beat and I noticed none of my mixer changes are saving. I did all this leveling and then when I came back to the same project, everything sounded off.. I did a test and turned one track all the way down, saved, exited, reloaded… and voila, the volume is back up. So another reason to not use this app. All the reviews must be fake, how can people be this simple?
Ever since the new ios18 update, the sound is distorted and not clear. Site at times crashes while cresting a beat. It’s a great tool to have but it’s not working to its fullest capabilities. I hope the sound issue gets fixed and resolved soon.
I downloaded some songs just to sample them from the iTunes library (feature in Turntable) and they don’t show up. It’s really random what songs/albums show up and what won’t. I hate that I have to do a whole bunch of jimmyrigging to RECORD the sample (which includes hooking up two audio interfaces to two devices) just to sample something that should be seen in the app. Mainly, it’s just showing stuff I added to the library two or more months ago. What Gives!!!? Other than that, I really like this program. This feature would take me over the edge though
You guys did an update….iMPC is still crashing….as much as I wanna use this app I have to quit trying. IMPC, audio copy, everything is still a hassle to work. I’m done. I appreciate the long run but the frustration is just too much. There are other apps that are up to date, more efficient, and easier to maneuver around especially with workflow and access to sounds. Thank you and hope to see you guys in the near future.
Seems like a decently featured sketchpad for musical ideas, but it’s totally unreliable. Constantly crashes every time I use it on a brand new iPad Air (M2 model). Only had it for less than 48 hours and I’m already done with its instability. Save your money and go elsewhere.
