Update$

So I guess this app is done updating they say contact to inquire about issues then never resolve issues and a producer had warned me that they are only concerned with only selling sound libraries @ this point is very disappointing, this app had promising potential But I guess it’s more about getting our money instead of giving us our moneys worth,I guess it’s to late to request a refund @ this point I’d rather just use GarageBand

Great, except for locking down my songs

This app works surprisingly well…. Until your ipad starts to go bad and you will discover there is no way to back up or save or transfer any of your owrk off the device so you can save it and work on it later on a new mpc or mpc emulating software! Also, the description in the apple store is incorrect. The developer is NOT akai software, it is some unpronounceable wors that starts with R and they have no information, no way to contact.

Crashing

3G S Man on

United States

I have been using the app for some time but have not used in the past few months. Now that I'm back on it it continues to crash and not importing from Audio Copy. This is happening while using on a 4th gen iPad Pro. Please debug or update.

When are we getting a new update? Would love to keep working on the iPad then transfer the files over to the MPC X, Live II, or the new MPC Key 37 (would love to have one). Keep up the good work!!!

Sequences

First off big fan of the Akai brand as a whole so I wont give this a terrible review. But is there any way to change the bpm of each individual sequence? I’m trying to incorporate this app into my live performances but unfortunately it wont be worth the money if I can’t have different sequences at different bpms similar to the original impc

0 starz if I could, This app can’t run 30 minutes without crashing!?!

It’s a bummer that an app attached to such a phenomenal name and that’s so aesthetically pleasing has to be such a worthless waste of space and barely work. I can’t have one session without a crash.. I’ll give up and try a completely new approach, CRASH, new project, CRASH. It wants to work but not that bad. They got all of our money already a few times and wouldn’t be surprised when they rewrite this same app exactly the same and slap a new price tag on the “new” MPCpro 3 app. I’m not falling for it again…

Too limited as an independent app - should come as auv3

acPittpro on

The app cannot be used to make full productions unless you’re ok with very basic editing and mixing abilities. This app would be much better in Cubasis, and I was using it inter-app, but that no longer works. None of my old projects that had iMPC in Cubasis load iMPC Pro 2 anymore. Please make an auv3 of this so it can be actually used to make music. This version is a toy, basically.

A week later, can’t make a sound.

There are four possibilities here: 1) The user interface is so badly designed that someone with a music degree—and who’s been multitracking and editing digitally for 30 years—is helpless. The IMPC PRO interface is absolutely impenetrable. 2) It works, but the designers assume that purchasers of IMPC PRO already possess vast esoteric knowledge of this family of products. 3) It works, but the learning curve is just impossibly steep; see (2). 4) The functional model for this app is that it is composed of many separate modules—which you must purchase or “earn” through the useless IMPC “Academy”—without which the app doesn’t work. In either case, a giant waste of time. I’m deleting this app with prejudice.

Glitches and crashes often

Your app earlier didnt show measures in the song parameter. I freaked out. Sorry for the previous review. It is working now. Still wish i could access impc pro.

Lacking MIDI sync

Derple-Dan on

United States

Pretty good features, but without MIDI sync it’s pretty much useless to me. I bought it because I assumed there’s no way they leave out basic midi compatibility, but here we are. A shame, as I really like a lot of what it has. The projects feel intuitive, and song mode is basic but looks straightforward. All it needs is to receive MIDI clock and transport messages to be a 5 star. It can already send and receive MIDI signals, why not the clock?
