Two no-gos: 1) you cannot loop a sample in performance mode (!!!) Only one shot, gated or not, when thevsample is finished... dead. 2) when you strike an empty pad, all sounds are muted! A horror scenario on stage. Don‘t understand what happened to 20+ years of Akai experience in this app. Hope there will be updates.
After spending hours of copying samples directly from usb to ipad, i found out that it is not possible to use them in the app. You are required to have ipad connected to laptop/pc with itunes and itunes filesharing. This is such a useless thing, which makes me really dissappointed. I spent money for nothing and furthermore i bought an usb only for this reason (lightning connection) and now i realize that is not helpful. MPC Support is the same uselesss thing, the guy who chat with me told me to contact app developper and not mpc. Seriously? You make a portable app, which requires you to have the ipad connected to the laptop. What^s the benefit though?? Your ex-customer!
Its a great app but if u got an older ipad it doesnt work so good cause of the system. I have to buy an ipad pro, then it would be awsome to work with IMPC Pro 2. its a full studio app. I like to have a Bridge between the app and the software from Akai. Mucho Love
Super dope. Loving it!
It seems this app is border line abandoned and is getting worse . Audio paste is one of the most annoying ways to get your samples into impc pro 2. You used to be able to load your samples directly into the app. This latest update claims to have fixed the audio paste crashing issue. I’m still experiencing this issue even after the update. I have not been able to use this app for a few years the way I used to. I used to be able to load samples directly to the app but now you have to use audio copy app. This app just never seemed to be stable and many users have reported the same. Akai/Retronyms should take notes from Koala, BM3, and groove rider. Logic Pro for iPad is also making its way to the top. This app is also getting super dated on top of it not being stable. It looks good on paper and would be amazing if it actually work as all the important features are there. Guess I’ll go back to BM3
These guys should study the free apps in this category because in my opinion they are much better. And this is not akai just doesn’t match akai standards. It frequently crashes.
It use to be good now it constantly crashes, glitches and when you export it has static in the music. You have to try multiple times and when you think you finally have a clean version of your song there’s a mistake somewhere in the middle or the end it doesn’t work well with auto copy also iMini doesn’t work well and it’s recommended.
Please add the ability to sample from the files app!
