With Improvisation Trainer you can:
EFFECTIVE PRACTICING!
RANDOM CHORD MODE
• practice improvising on your favorite chords
• practice improvising within random given chords out of a defined chord pool
• define your own chord pools specially designed for your needs
• diatonic mode: practice improvising only within a specified key
• chromatic mode: practice your skills on all bass notes of the chromatic scale
• modal mode: chord symbols will randomly change, but only on one bass note
• custom mode: practice your chords on personally specified root notes (i.e., C and F)
• set the chord duration for each chord (i.e., 2 bars)
• set a loop to create perfect practicing exercises for you
• tell the app in which meter you want to improvise (3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 7/8, …)
PROGRESSION MODE
• practice all your favorite chord progressions in the progression player
• here are some progressions that are included:
• II-V-I
• I-VI-IV-V-I
• I-IVm, …
• custom progressions: practice your progressions only in specified keys
• chromatic progressions: practice your progressions in all 12 chromatic keys
• completely individually shape your own exercises or just use the given presets to start practicing!
CUSTOM MODE
• generate your own sequence of chords for fast creating of truly unique exercises
• choose the length of each chord using the specified interface
• use one of many styles to playback your exercise
IT’S ALL A MATTER OF STYLE
• choose from a variety of different playback styles: Rock, Pop, Swing, Bossa-Nova, Disco, Country and many more
• choose your individual playback tempo
• tell the app in which meter you want to improvise (3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 7/8, …)
SAVE AND SHARE YOUR SETTINGS
• you can save all your custom settings to get started quickly
• you can easily share the settings with friends, students or other people using e-mail
MANY DISPLAYING OPTIONS FOR EFFICIENT PRACTICING
• define which accidentals you want to see (#,b or random)
• practice while using a regular music sheet layout with your generated chords
• simple mode: only display three chords at a time
• short time hint: display the next chord only a short time before you hear it
ADVANCED FEATURES
• practice chords with a lot of extensions like G7(#9,b13)
• create endless material for you to practice on
• improvise in odd time signatures
• loop-mode: transpose your exercises after a certain number of loops
• loop-mode: create uneven loops to practice odd bar phrases
• progression mode: define exactly which chords you want to hear on each degree (i.e. only m7 on II and only 7(b9) on V)
• use the included mixing desk to adjust the volume of bass-notes, chords and drums
EAR TRAINING
• You can also use the app as a ear-training program. Just define which chords you want to be played and don’t look at the display or use our „only time“ preset!
