Indego Bike Share FAQ
Is Indego Bike Share free?
Yes, Indego Bike Share is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Indego Bike Share legit?
⚠️ The Indego Bike Share app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
The process to rent the bikes was smooth and we felt the guest pass for 60 minute unlimited rides all day was reasonable for $15, but they don’t make it known that using an electric-assisted bike will be an extra 20 cents per minute of riding. A $15 dollar excursion turned into an unexpected $40 dollar excursion. Slimey and scummy practice.
Great system!
Love the bike system, and it’s very useful without many issues. I wish there were fewer electric bikes relative to the number of normal ones- sometimes there are only 10 electric bikes at a station and no normal ones, and I don’t want to pay the additional fee required to use an electric one.
Inconsistent
I really love Indego when it is working. It is my primary form of transportation to and from work, and all around Philly. However, the app is extremely inconsistent with bugs. I was unable to use the app for all of 7/28, which caused me to miss a train, and walk/uber long distances. I would happily pay more for the service if it was consistent.
Might as well take an uber.
Unless you live around there and use it often its honestly cheaper to uber by the time you purchase the membership and all the additional fees.
Bad overall
Bad app, bad bikes, expensive
I’ll never use this as a subscription service
Bring back quick trips like every other city in America, wrf?
love it (if it was always this affordable)!
been using with the promo code for bike month, and i’ve loved it!! had so much fun i just wish it was always $5 a month instead of $20. w that, the electric bikes have an extra fee ($0.20 per minute) so sometimes it’s more expensive than taking the bus
Trip wouldn’t end when bike was docked
Got stranded far from home since I couldn’t book a new trip after I docked my bike.
Terrible customer service, terrible product
Indego has a monopoly on the bike share in Philadelphia and is a complete and total disaster.
Bikes often have mechanical issues ranging from batteries showing they’re charged when they’re not (and refusing to give you a refund) to brakes not functioning.
When you report a problem, customer service associates are, rude, condescending, and unfit to interact with humans.
They are a complete and total dumpster fire of an organization.
Nope
The prices are too high. Electric bikes are totally unreasonably priced
