Indra App Reviews

All good

Appreciate the help from customer service. Worth while mentioning that if you have the charger fitted by an independent electrician, they will have to liaise with Indra to allow commissioning

User interface is clunky and hard to use

PenguinEnjoyer on

United Kingdom

In comparison with my cars app this app is hard to use, it seems like the interface was chucked together with not much though. The charging is pretty reliable though.

Internet connection fails

Jimmy Wizzy on

The Indra Lux EV charger is a compact design and meets all my needs for planning and completing a charge. The only problem is that it has a tendency to lose connection to the internet every few days and needs switching off and on again to enable reconnection to the internet

Still doesn’t fully support the (premium) Lux charger

I’ve been having a variety of issues with the Indra Lux recently and the app is of little use as it fails to provide any details (such as indicator lights) relating to this product variant.

Seems pretty basic

This is my first EV and as such my first EV home charger so having nothing to compare this against - however the app seems pretty basic to say the least. No option to charge the car to a specific %, you can only add X number of miles so you have to try and calculate how many miles will take you to say 80%. Seem like a pretty basic requirement. Frequently goes offline. Weekly emails saying that my device has booted on - I didn’t even know it wasn’t on! I just ignore them now as they don’t seem to make any sense. Thankfully I’ve managed to change my EV ok without any problems - so far. I am sure there must be better out there, and if I could go back and choose a different home charger I would … but like I say, I have nothing to compare it against. I’ll give a 3 stars - as I am feeling generous!

Took effort but Indra got it working

If you are having trouble switching from the web app to this app, as I did, it took me about a week and several phone calls to Indra in order for them to fully migrate my account over. Lovely people in customer service, obviously as tired of fixing whatever caused these problems in the first place, nothing a user can fix unfortunately. Once that had happened the app works as intended. It’s broadly a better experience, the only thing I’d like changed is if you boosted to fully charged on the web app it would switch to idle once the charge was finished, the iPhone app just keeps saying Boosting and I have to check the car manually.

Regret getting this app

BAL_1984 on

There was really no need to get this app. We charged the car when it needed charging. For some reason since charging with the app, it is totally unreliable and 9/10 won’t charge. Which causes all sorts of issues. Will try to uninstall and hopefully can then begin to reliably charge our cars again.

A year on: still work in progress…

An update: The app has been around for about a year now and the history view is as unreliable as it has been since the start. A little disappointing considering how much time the developers had to improve it. ********* I’ve been using this app now for 5 days and it seems that the plan to switch off the old, web based app within 3 months is too ambitious as this is only a half finished product. So far I’ve encountered the following bugs: 1. The app would not accept a 2 rate tariff. Each time I updated the rates it would default to a single rate. 2. The functionality of being able to see half hourly usage is gone. The history tab may look pretty in the new app but functionally is substandard. In the old app clicking on individual usage bars would show energy usage in the period (either half hour or an hour) the new app does not provide this. 3. Despite using the app for several days only one day of history has been recorded. Having said that there are additions that show promise. Being able to disable the charger from the app is certainly a good development. Please don’t switch off the old app until you provide a finished product.

Very good needs more resilience

Good app and a nice improvement on the old app, but still some bugs and resilience to be resolved. But keep up the good work.

Better charging history reports needed

K5roc on

The previous app I used (Kaluza) gave me 30 mins slot history of charging . Can you provide something similar on this app please?
