Great legacy which is fading away
WebIS sold Informant to Fanatic Software, and since then quality of the software declines with every release. Although some bugs are fixed (usually take a couple of months even for simple fixes), more and more new ones are introduced. Support does their best, but it doesn't help as apparently engineers are not skilled enough. Oh, and you must pay for this madness because perpetual licence was replaced with subscription.
Not recommended for new users. My sincere condolences to old users with massive history saved in the application database.
Most worthwhile update in a long time
Some long requested features finally delivered.
Return of an ALL search, not limited to 25yrs. Focus view date selection. Focus view drag/drop sort ability. Widget improvements. Note/comment text improvements (size increased and readable, and fits properly to device screen size). And others. And various bugs fixed progressively over time, means the current version is solid and reliable.

Poor support for Apple Watch
I’ve been an Informant user since the early Pocket Informant days and have loved this app for its clear UI but the unreliable Apple Watch functionality has led me to finally give up on it because I got tired of reading about UI updates for the phone app while nothing was being done to improve Apple Watch functionality. Have now moved to Calendar 366 which seems to work great with minimal fuss.
Can’t change colours any more.
Had to update with phone update and lost the ability to select colours
Gutted
Updated iPhone to iOS 14.5, went to open prior app as usual but wouldn’t open. Forced to update and this was what I was told to download. Open the app and no sync has been done for the last 5 years and no way to recover the most recent data!
How can you “boot” us out of the old app and not prompt or allow us to sync/backup first??
My only option is to load from Apple calendar?? Dude, if that app was any good why would I have bought informant?? I haven’t out anything in there for the whole time I’ve had Informant…
Desperately trying to work out what my encrypted password could be to restore phone back to before I updated so I can recover all my data = my LIFE!!
Hard to read
I find this very hard to read compared to google calendar all so small

I can’t find anything better ( yes I have looked! ) .. but the diary, notes, tasks, and events all integrate so well!
I use it on my phone the most.... but it is better on the iPad
Just an expensive calendar. Waste of money
I bought this app with a year subscription. I regret it completely. It is just another calendar. You just have to pay a lot of money for it. Do not make my mistake and stay away from it.
