Have had this app for a while and had it set to auto renew. Upon renewal, card got charged $26.80 but the app completely lost all functionality. Each time I open the calendar I get a pop-up asking me to renew. AGAIN. All settings are locked. Contacted customer service. Back and forth for over a week. Nothing resolved. Now no answer. This makes no sense. Don't buy this app!!!!!!!

I’ve been using this all for years and don’t know what I’d do without it. Also, there have been a few times I have had questions about certain features and they support is unmatched. I have gotten quick and thorough responses. You can tell it’s from a real person, not some bot response- so it’s actually helpful.

Can’t it give it 5 stars because of many *years* of various types of issues—and engaging with the developer got really old. So, I don’t rely on informant for anything other than to view my built-in calendars because it’s the best rolling month view on iOS, period. I also wish the month view would have the option to be just 4 weeks.

I have been using this product since the days of the Palm Pilot. I look forward to each new version, and rely on it heavily for my day to day organization. When issues arise, I always got great customer service, with prompt and knowledgeable responses. It was clear at the time, the customer service agent knew all about the product. Recently I reached out to customer service about a task due date issue. Like a previous review, the response has gone now over the course of two weeks with several days going by before hearing anything. In addition, by the response, it is clear the individual does not know the product nor what I’m talking about. They sent me a link for basic information that I already well know about it, and has nothing to do with the question I’m asking. The latest is they asked for Screenshots, which has very little Bering on the question at hand. They also answer in the middle of the night and use poor English in their statements. I am quite convinced that Alex has outsourced his customer service and this is a shame. I thought this was an American based company, with excellent support for a product that I have been supporting for decades…..please come back Alex and take over this great product….. then I’ll be happy to give 5 stars…

I want to love this app. Works pretty well, mostly. If you buy in access that is. Then you can use whatever calendar and reminders. But it's a little twitchy. Meaning it seems to refresh every few seconds and it spazzes out, calling some other task finished when you click it. Customer service is super helpful, but no real solution had ever been achieved. I've taken to using the old version, no longer available of course, with the default calendar and iPhone reminders. Works perfectly with zero cost. Until then, this is pretty, but...

It’s a joy making appointments with this calendar! I like color coding my appointments according to type of appt (ie doctor, counsel, beauty, etc) and whose appt ( my husbands are all one color that I don’t use for any of mine so I don’t confuse his with mine, and so we don’t have conflicting appts if we need to together to a doctors appointment, which we do frequently. I also have a separate calendar for him if I just want to look at my appointments I can turn off his calendar to see only my appts. Also using emoji’s occasionally like the syringe for Dr appts just for fun. I also really really like being able to see the writing on the calendar day instead of a dot as in the Apple calendar, where you have to select a day to see what the dot is there for. All you see are dots. You have to select every dot to find a specific appt. I like using the month view and I can see and read all my appts in the month view when I open Pocket Informant. That is what sold me on informant in the beginning. I was a palm user, so I’ve been using it awhile! There are so many features on this calendar I have barely plumbed the depths. It is worth the cost, it’s probably worth more than it costs, but please don’t raise the price! :)

I love this Calendar app for many reasons. However, my favorite feature is the ability to use high-res icons in the month view. So I can tell at a glance what is happening on any given day without reading anything, e.g., what days I work, days I’m off, what bills are do,etc

I’ve used the calendar for years. I paid for this app. I reached out for support and got nothing. Now my calendar is nothing but blank spaces. Everything I entered is gone!!! Do not get this app!!!

I have enjoyed Informant 5 more than any other calendar I have used in the past. It is all laid out and pretty easy to navigate for a 77-yo.

Update 7/16/23 First let me say that this review has absolutely nothing to do with money or cost of subscription. Informant answers all reviews citing cost issues, that is not the case here. We still do not have a functioning watch app which has become more important to me than a lot of the other updates they have provided. Support tells me recently that engineers are still working on it even though ads state a working watch app. Support also informed me that they may have to scrap watch app as other have done. I have been told by support for years that it’s in the works , it works , it doesn’t work and so on. In that end I am tired of using an app that does not give me the ability to use my products as they were designed. Informant is a great program that has not kept up with the advances in technology. Pocket informant can’t get an Apple Watch App to work in over 4 years, but we now have the ability to search 30 years of data instead of 15. Who had the idea that would be the best use of programmers time? How many people really need to search 30 years. Consider that the iPhone is only okay 15 years old why is that an important update? People including myself have been asking for a decent watch app only to have it pushed to the side. Was told in July2018 it’s being updated. Has not been touched in over 4 years. I am a user from long before 5.0. Subscriber without complaint but leaving when subscription is complete. Fantastical May cost a little more, however all their synch and watch work without any issues. Went to do latest update, excited to see a default view setting. Was unable to find how to set it. Contacted support and this is the reply: Thank you for contacting support. Please accept our apologies. Our engineers erroneously included that detail but that default feature wasn't planned to be part of that release. They have pushed another update to Apple now to version 5.59 that will include that option and we should be able to see the roll-out start very soon. I would suggest trying to manually update about Thursday. The setting will be located at informant settings>view settings (not accounts). Have a great day! Have yet to see an update from informant without major flaws. Update 7/22/18 The major 5.40 update release came out finally. Will give a B+ to the new time picker. Time picker has been an issue since Informant 5 was released 18 months ago. New Icons are nothing to get excited about. No watch update, no left handed navigation, long standing
