I’ve been a loyal Infuse user for years, but tripling the monthly cost is outrageous. This is pure greed, and I’m done supporting a service that exploits its customers. Time to find a better alternative.

Wrong focus
I had my fingers crossed for this new version 8 but still no actual UX or UI improvements on iOS. Same cumbersome UI. Same bugs since 5+ years. Things like ”last played title” and picture-in-picture have never worked properly. There’s really good codec support but it’s shadowed by things like having a black window and a loading circle while waiting 10 seconds for a failed attempt to download one preview-image. It’s not very 2024.

Good but can be better
I have been using infuse in 3-4 years now. I like the picture in picture function. That was the main reason for using it. Otherwise there is the really well and free VLC player! I wrote to the administrator or creator of the app suggesting that subtitles should work in PIP mode (like Netflix did since the years that I bought ipad pro in 2020). Why haven’t they implement it? No idea… Would it made the application great? For me yes!

Problem med Google cast
Har pro varianten och den sväljer allt som jag streamar från Jellyfin. Har dock problem med att den laggar så mycket med Google cast att det är oanvändbart på min 2:nd gen trots att jag har provat ändra inställningar. Har inga problem att casta Netflix etc från min iPhone 11.
Fantastisk
Detta är appen som fulländar mitt multimedia behov. Man kommer åt filmer/ serier från alla plattformar. Den fixar snyggt omslag och det är lätt att ladda ner undertexter till. Du behöver inte ha en datorn igår utan det räcker med en USB/hårddisk in i routern och så hittar man allt. Lätt värt pengarna
