JD Gyms FAQ
Is JD Gyms free?
Yes, JD Gyms is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is JD Gyms legit?
⚠️ The JD Gyms app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Basically just a key fob for getting in and out of the gym. You need signal to generate the QR code and it expires after 15 seconds, so if your gym is in a dead spot like mine, it’s useless. I have to ask a staff member to let me out every time.
Dull app, not much use
No live member count of how many people are at the gym. Literally one of the most common features for flagship gyms. Other than classes (the 1 star) and the QR code, it’s pretty useless
Needs a serious update
Considering how fresh and cool the gyms are the app DOES NOT reflect this in anyway whatsoever! I like to use two gyms with the membership I have and it’s so frustrating that I’m not able to look across classes throughout the branch. You can’t see your progress in how much time you spend at the gym, tips and tricks etc. It would be a nice idea to see if the classes will be full or not to avoid people being cramped into one room. Considering that you pay the same amount as other brands you expect the app to at least try and compete. Come on !!!
Terrible App
The developers really need to get a grip with this, just shocking. Can’t do anything with it, feels like it was created 15 years ago. You can’t book classes (even though it says you can), can’t see your gym if it’s busy or not, the QR code to access your gym is a joke.
I’ve looked at the developers other apps they’ve created, all fitness apps and they are all the exact same layout with a different colour skin.
Reply surprised JD went with this outfit, proper amateur stuff. Reading all the negative reviews, there’s not one reply from the developers, which says it all.
JD need to get their act together, there’s apps out there like Pure Gym that’s so much more intuitive and costumer focused.
Joke of a QR system
Without any warnings about it, if you scan slightly too fast after someone it just locks you out and you can’t get in to the gym, nice to travel just to be locked out because it’s past the time where it’s staffed. I’ve never even used a QR system this poor. If you scan too fast, it should just reset. The app doesn’t have to do much, basic functionality should be rock solid. Do better.
Not good
Just joined JD gym. Download the app and its not good at all.
Not the functionality, its just sooo basic. Actually making me consider cancelling using this gym !
Developers… are there any planned updates with more functionality?
Don’t download
Just terrible
App
I love JD gyms but I think it would be good if they made their app a bit more user friendly. I would love to be able to track how long I have spent in the gym and to be able to see how many people are in the gym before I decide to go. These would be really useful to have in the app.
Garbage
Almost as broken as the the equipment in their gyms. Keep having to log in multiple times to access different parts of the app. Except the credentials i used are invalid now for some strange reason. Less than basic. Would've been better off with an entry code. Other basic Gyms like the Gym have a better app with actual functionality.
JD Gym app long way to go!!
This app has potential but it’s not AppleWatch compatible, just the QR entry access generator on watch will make this a 4* app. JD should also include workout exercises. Ability to log and track workouts activities. Virtual trainer. Virtual classes. Stream video feed that being broadcast in Gym To make this a 5* experience
