Description

1) Constantly nagging and arguing with your child?
2) Is your child not motivated to complete their daily tasks?
3) Does your child struggle to remember and stick to their daily routine?

If you answered "YES" to at least one of these, then Joon is exactly what you are looking for!

Recommended by Child Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Pediatricians, and Special Education Teachers, Joon is the future of motivating neurodivergent children. Using a child-friendly video game (for ages 6-12), Joon helps motivate your child to focus and stay on top of their daily routine, tasks, & habits.

**JOON’S GOAL**

Help motivate your child with ADHD, ASD, ODD, General Anxiety, or Depression to focus and complete their daily tasks while learning basic responsibility and independence. Not only does Joon make it extremely easy to motivate kids to do important tasks using a video game, but it also teaches them valuable life skills that they won’t be able to learn in school. We’ve helped over two hundred thousand families complete more than 1M+ tasks, so why can't we help you?

**HOW IT WORKS**

Assign tasks as "Quests", then the video game does the rest.

1) Create a few tasks that your child struggles with the most (such as brushing their teeth, getting ready for school, etc.)

2) Your child chooses a virtual pet (called a Doter) to feed, wash, and grow. In order to take care of their pet and play the Joon video game, they must first complete the tasks you've assigned them.

3) Once completed, you will get a notification to review and approve/reject your child's completed tasks. If approved, your child will receive coins to use to care for their pet and unlock different parts of the video game!

4) As your child completes more and more tasks, they will develop habits and improve their daily routine - all because they want to play a video game!

**THE PARENTING TOOL YOU NEED**

+ We make it easy to manage your child’s tasks and add in your existing routine.

+ We'll do the reminding to help your child stick to their routine. No more nagging from your end.

+ Your child will stay motivated to do the tasks assigned to them. In fact, 90% of kids on Joon complete all tasks assigned.

+ Choose from a large list of research-backed activities to help your child build important life skills that teach independence.

Joon is only a year old and already has the attention of press, parenting publications, and parenting experts. To see the complete list, visit our website here: https://joonapp.io

**HOW TO GET STARTED**

1) Install Joon on your device, create your family, and select a few beginning tasks you’d like your child to work on.

2) Help your child set up their account so they can see the tasks that you’ve assigned them. You can have them download Joon on their own device or share you phone.

3) Once your child completes their tasks, you can review and approve them to make sure they were completed correctly.

4) Once approved, your children receive coins and experience points that let them feed, level up, buy things, and progress in the game with their virtual pet. As your child continues to progress in the game, they actually progress in real life too!

5) Keep adding quests (and we’ll recommend you new ones too) to help your children develop good habits! Your children cannot grow on their own. Make sure to stay involved in the process and keep assigning new quests as needed to allow your children to continue helping, learning, growing, and progressing in the game.

A new option for my son

Adelaide special needs mum on

We are really enjoying seeing some new options for my son who finds any requirements a trigger for him. It’s super having a fun app, with his own ‘pet’, requiring him to do such things as get dressed, brush his teeth, wait in his bed in the morning. It means I can be having fun with him with the app, rather than nagging him.

Good so far

As I’m putting in the jobs for my child to do, it would be nice if we could edit the location of them in the line of jobs. So he knows what to do first.

Lifesaver!

This app has transformed our children. We are a house full of neurodivergent’s and it has taken away all the defiance, refusal, and arguing and given us children who are excited to tick off their ‘quests’ every day to collect their coins and raise their ‘pets’. It’s truly worth the money for the ease and stress free time it’s given us!

Game Changer

Yznick1234 on

I wanted say big thank to the creator team and share our Joon experience. It's been more than two weeks since we hopped on board, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. My son is absolutely loving it. He cares about his pets so wants to earn the bonus and points to look after them. His habits are really starting to take shape. Gone are the days of constant reminders and confrontations. Now, he's tidying up his bed and pajamas, tackling the piano, and even writing in his journal every night – reminders are sometime still needed, but definitely no confrontations!

Surprisingly motivating game

I have two kids that have ADHD. I tentatively tried this app out, thinking it wouldn’t make much of a difference. Boy was I wrong. On the first day, my kids asked me for MORE jobs to do. They even practiced their instruments (which one of them had been refusing to do all year). On top of usual chores, I give them tasks like “find something that needs cleaning and clean it” because I think that’s a really good skill for people to learn. I’ve had this app for a few weeks now. Their motivation isn’t as high as it was in the first few days (they don’t ask me for extra jobs usually now), but they still play and use this app for their regular tasks - and they do it without complaining

Subscription

ALHR* on

It is disappointing to have to go through a full survey and set up process only to find out this is a subscription service not just in app purchases as advertised. Just be up front so people can make a decision before handing over personal information.

Works on my kids aged 6 & 9

Autosmiler on

I’ve waited a few months to review because I suspected the novelty would wear off and they would not care to work for coins any more. However, they still do care and are both now saving up their coins to purchase a beach permit worth 1000 coins! For those who are wondering if it would work on their kids, here are my thoughts: - Foremost, my kids don’t usually otherwise get screen time (neither TV nor any screen-based games) so they are excited to get to play iPad for Joon. I think if they were used to fancy video games then Joon would be too sedate for them, or if they were used to the dopamine hit of constant YouTube access, they would lose interest in Joon’s world quickly. Besides, I only let them play on Joon every few days anyway. That not only allows them to build up coins but also keeps the interest up. As it is, my kids have never played anything where there’s a world to freely explore, with characters to earn and buy accessories for, so they love that aspect. They also enjoy “seeing” each others’ doters wandering around their screen :-) - I made all the quest completions under my control so they can’t just tap ‘done’ and get coins without my approval. You can make as many or as few quests as you wish, but I’ve made quests for every little thing I wish they would be more responsible for so it can be a lot for the parent to keep track of with reviewing them every day (tho you can scroll back to prior days). I don’t mind because I have been using a gamified task app for adults for myself for years, but my husband dislikes it, so it falls on me to keep track of all quests for both kids. It can be a lot. - The Joon creators are very responsive and constantly seek to improve, so I feel free to write to them with ideas. I had suggested a feature to turn on/off whether doters could be harmed or removed from the child’s custody if they don’t get fed or cared for after a while, because when my son realised they don’t die if he doesn’t feed them, he decided to never spend coins on food even though they are starving! He also doesn’t feel any urgency to do quests each day because of this.

I regret not downloading earlier

My youngest is so motivated to do his jobs and doing it without being asked which is a win for PDA! My eldest is ready for school on time every morning which is a huge win too!

Really helpful tool for parents

River1987 on

This app has made such a difference in our lives! I don’t feel like I nag my daughter as much. I just allocate quests for tasks I need her to do and It engages her in a way she likes and there is a play element to her helping out around the house, building routine, responsibility and accountability. Thank you Joon!
