have to restart application to achieve connection with pulse meter
I have two profiles associated with the c7 bike, after the last update that was made to the JRNY application. wanting to go to another profile already having the pulse meter connected. The Wi-Fi connection is disconnected, before this I have to restart the bicycle application since the connection searches and seeks to link with the bracelet and the connection cannot be made. I wish they could fix this problem
Broken
I have had this app for several months. Starting about a week ago, I can no longer switch between the two user profiles I set up for my account. I reached out to the developer for help, but the response I got was an unhelpful referral to the FAQs page.
STILL issues with intervals
The “intervals” workouts for the ellipticals are not working any more, [amended:] depending on where you launch them from. It used to be only the 14 minute one, now the 7 not the 21 work any more!!!! The dial doesn’t show the target and the graph doesn’t move any more note thanks your level of effort. Without that the app is completely USELESS!!! We first reported the issue with the 14 minutes one at least a year ago, likely more. What is going on?!
After wasting most of my available time for my workout in trying to get it to work (reset this, reset that, delete app, install, etc…) , I discovered that if I launch intervals 7 from one of the other groups it worked. As opposed to launching it from the top group where all free intervals are. Not sure how or why this would make sense… but that is how I got it to work.
Still upsetting, but since there is a work around I wanted to share for others as well.
Terrible tech
The technology platform associated with the Bowflex is horrible. Our Bowflex has failed and can’t connect anymore. Machine is not usable because of this . Our Wi-Fi strength is excellent -machine just doesn’t work anymore and won’t connect anymore. I wouldn’t buy another Bowflex until they change their technology.
Excellent trainers
The app is easy to use and the trainers are kind, encouraging and fun
Videos refuse to load
Not working I ptimally with my iC4. Videos refuse to load.
Has a lot of potential but also bugs
Got this app as part of my bike package. It worked fine in the beginning but then the music and coach voice stopped working in adaptive workouts and if I used more than one video in a session. I contacted support via their ‘feedback’ section in the app (the only way to contact support in the app) and the support rep who replied several days later said “I’ve never heard of this bug so I’m closing your ticket.” This app would be great if things worked as intended and their support seemed to care.
Needs work
Now I have to login to my machine every time I use it and the little text box to type on is way too small. There’s an option to resize it and it doesn’t work. I don’t remember it being that small before. Whenever I try to see the software version of my Max Total 16, I get to the screen and before I can choose any selections, it reboots. Every time. I also can’t hear the narrators voice clearly. It sounds muffled through the speakers, no matter the volume. Many of the buttons on the touchscreen are too small and you have to touch right exactly in the center for it to work. This is very difficult to do when you’re moving on the machine.
As for the machine, I love using it but there must’ve been a software upgrade and it made it harder to use.
I opened the JRNY app on my iPhone 14 and it doesn’t show the max total. It shows me having a M8 and M9. I corrected it and when I went to workouts, it only shows my dumbbells. I tried to connect to my machine and it says no machine found. This whole JRNY system has gotten much worse. My opinion anyway. Yes I’m logged in to the same account from my phone and the machine. I don’t understand how they can show such different things. I hope these things get resolved. Thanks.
App not saving workouts
4th workout this week using a a max trainer ser on the app. 3 out of the 4 times the app has frozen the the workout was over and never saves. Kinda pathetic even though the machine should be backing up the save.
Needs work
The app has some good cycling videos but the programmed rides has limited use as the “burn rate” does not work well with the bike. They tell you to be within the “burn rate” but the burn rate is not correct and does not change with the difficulty of the push. They did however make some corrections with the new update including the distance so hopefully they can improve the burn rate in the next update. The idea of the app is good but needs improvement to be competitive in this field.
