Kingdom Rush 5 FAQ
Is Kingdom Rush 5 free?
Yes, Kingdom Rush 5 is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Kingdom Rush 5 legit?
🤔 The Kingdom Rush 5 app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I would have preferred to have the necromancer tower ( which was available on Frontiers for free ) available without paying for it, but you guys decided to make it more expensive than the game itself, so I uninstalled the game and went back to Frontiers for the experience and balance of everything.
Have to purchase tower upgrades with real money
Too greedy for me. Deleted the app + refunded
5 stars
Havin to purchase the separate towers and heroes just to have em all dissapointed me also not having 3 upgrades on tier 4 towers is a crime. 5 stars cuz the others KR were amazing and this one stands out with amazing graphics
Okay game, but did not live up to the previous games
Pros: 1. It gives kingdom rush vibes for sure, with easter eggs and beautifull level design and map, levels nicely balanced
Cons: 1. Campaign way too short
2. The reward system is screwed: even if you finish the level with 1 star, you still get 3 upgrade points, so no motivation to finish the level flawless
3. Every kingdom rush before this gave you some extra Bonus levels after the campaign is over, this one doesn’t
4. The price. As of everything in 2024, the game feels a bit “rushed”, no pun intended; comercial version of kingdom rush.
Still an okay game, finished the campaign on veteran in a couple hours.
Another perfect made tower defence game!
Simply perfect. ❤️
Heroes Purchases Get Deleted Daily
Great game, but with App Store restrictions on my phone and my kids’ phones, every day the app restarts and all my heroes purchases are gone. I cannot just restore purchases in-game because I first have to disable restrictions on my iPhone every time then I can restore the purchases and then I have to enable restrictions again and the heroes will stay until the following day when the app restarts and I have to begin the process all over again. Please fix this bug and I will be so happy, thanks!
Safe release but not very good
I did wait until I fully completed the game and did some in game purchase.
Good
1. Cool new tower design and ideas
2. Map art is beautiful
3. Always have neat side quests with map interactions
4. Hero plays a more important role in the game play
Bad
1. Tower progressions over simplified pushed to more purchased based diversity. Compared to KRFrontier (each tower can branch to 2 additional) there are 8 possible towers combination compare to hard capped 5.
2. Overall story and mapped is less than previous releases. 22 stages is 60% of KRF. I’m paying more for less content.
3. Free contents are incredibly lacking to have a decent experience. You can really feel the push to monetization and it’s not a good feel.
Overall it’s a safe release with changes and improvements on the margins and cosmetics. That’s offset with the worsening feel of monetization pressure. However the biggest issue is a lack of innovation makes this feel stale.
Title says it all. Differences between beginning of the series to now is not just pay to win heroes but now towers. A friend accidentally apple paying me instead of Venmo and emptying that wallet is the only reason I bought the recent installations of the series. Gameplay wise it is consistent and good just like all other ones they made. Just beginning to make it outpace value vs cost imo with all the micro transactions.
Bad
You get to a point where you obviously need to pay to unlock power in the form of items, heroes, or towers. The enemies are too strong and the vanilla towers too weak. I beat the others in the franchise and those are my favorite airplane game. This one is garbage that needs massive balancing issues resolved (unless of course the greed is the actual driving force to why it’s so unbalanced 😩).
