Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance TD

I was excited to try Alliance Defense 5 - Time Defense and paid £6.99 upfront, expecting a premium experience. However, I was extremely disappointed to discover that unlocking heroes requires additional payments. This feels like a rip-off, as in previous versions, paying once granted full access. The double-dipping payment model ruins the experience and feels unfair to loyal players. Save your money unless you’re prepared to keep shelling out after the initial purchase.

I’ve loved the kingdom rush games, even enjoyed the legends DND inspired game. I feel obligated to buy this company’s games as they do a very good job, and they deserve to charge for their games as they’re at a good standard, however this game is very much incomplete, to pay £6.99 for the game initially then to pay £30-£40 to unlock all heroes and towers is very disappointing. I sadly didn’t even finish the campaign as I felt I had nothing to work to or unlock, the towers and heroes aren’t even available in the arcade pass either. Shame, please learn from this mistake.

UPDATE: the latest 2 updates are so much better in every way and so it’s the Vengeance update, however the road to redemption is still very very long and full of perils! Graphics, Gameplay, Enemies, 2 Heroes mode stunning, But lots of negatives: 1 Far too short 2 Even shorter considering that only the last 6 levels are challenging while the others feel too easy and very boring. KR 1,2, and 3 are exciting right from the beginning, with some of the best levels in the earlier stages. 3 All levels have multiple exits which is boring, some single exit ones would be fun. 4 Towers and hero’s feels like a re-skin from KR 4, which is fine only to an extend, but here everything has been reproduced with minor changes to camouflage the tower/hero as if it’s a new one. 5 Missing top quality stages like Ruins of Acarot or Rotten Forest, zombies… 6 Way too expensive. Sadly it seems that this is the dawn for the masters of TD because this game feels only a proof of concept, tired, unfinished, greedy, and above all boring. Is this the end of a great studio? It’s difficult to come back from such a let down. In order to restore your reputation with the fan base, I’d strongly recommend you to rework entirely this game and to re-issue it at no extra charge for who has already paid for it. At present it really feels like a scam.

So you have released some great games prior to this. I feel you built up a great community only to release a paywalled game with limited hero’s towers and levels, why have you done this? Absolute slap in the face of those of us who like the series. I would like a refund tbh £5 for 57 stars?? Hold the L you’ll need to make big steps to recover from this. The towers that are available feel horrible. The bosses are easy. The upgrade system is not as good as vengeance. Over half the content is locked out for you unless you’re willing to spend massive amounts of money to get it all. It was once just heroes that costs money which was fine but now towers and new levels as well. So for this price, I unfortunately can’t recommend you buy this game, as fun as it is. I would understand if the game was free but it’s not. Play the older games before they locked towers and levels behind a pay wall, you’ll have more fun. I won’t be buying any new additions to the franchise in the future.

Overpriced extra heroes and towers. Elsewhere they are included in the base game price. Hate this method of pay structuring. Mobile gaming is so disrespected.

Game is wonderful, just didn’t liked that you buying a game and still in game you need buy heroes and turrets…

This game is amazing!from the smooth animations to the little details everything is perfect…well there is ONE thing and ONE thing only… THAT IT IS A PAY TO WIN!!!!!! All of the good hero’s and tower are LOCKED! BEHIND A PAYWALL! With all of that money AND the price of the game I would rather spend my money on something better! Please Change it!

Big fan of kingdom rush - I love this game. However, I am unable to download undying fury. Is there anything I need to do?

The Kingdom Rush series is simply the best Tower Defence series out there. All the games are very well balanced, particularly on the harder modes. This is yet another great entry
