This is a great app for tracking your food consumption. Overall, it is a very well put together app. … however, over the past couple of months there has been some downtime which is not useful when trying to keep an inventory of all the food you stock and consume, especially when it is down over a weekend. Ultimately, I’ve decided to move onto a different different app.
I have to submit my own recipes and have them vetted, which takes a couple of days? You’re joking right? And this is AFTER I’ve PAID you?!
Just started using it, but it seems very promising and i can’t wait to see this app firing on all cylinders after a week or two
I’ve had this app for a few days and I love it. I needed to put a little bit of effort in at first inputting the contents of my cupboards but it has been well rewarded. The more I use it the more features come to light (nutritional value, prices, notes and cooking tips etc). Being able to sort by expiry date means I can already clearly see what would otherwise linger at the back of my cupboards. The recipe section is excellent and I am finding the sections that show me recipes which I already have all the items for or for items about to expire very useful. I am looking forward to adding my own recipes and using the import function for recipe websites. I have a couple of dietary restrictions which I have been able to use filters for. The barcode reader is easily one of the best I’ve used and even picked up some items from small producers and an Asian grocers. I am hoping to start a planning habit which seems quite straightforward. I did have a few questions which were answered quickly by the friendly support team. Highly recommended (UK)
It has some great potential, but the biggest negatives are adding new recipes. You can’t see the suggestions for each section as it goes off the page, and inventory-to-recipe was the main appeal for me
I’ve been using this App for a while and have always found it very easy to use. Had a problem with my saved kitchen over a weekend, the support desk couldn’t have been more helpful in resolving the problem quickly. Excellent service and highly recommended
Great app easy to use and keep track of everything.
Very good app to keep track of all items in the kitchen and pantry. Even tell you how many days till the item is expiring and how long it can last in the fridge.
This potentially is a really useful application. However, it seems that The customer is expected to Bear the brunt of doing the data entry. The current database is pitiful. Use this only if you want to do hours of unpaid data input.
Myself and wife are guilty of food being wasted due to expired use by dates and duplicate buying so this app looked ideal and so far so good. Positives: Shared kitchen, alerts for food going past use by dates, recipes based on what food you have and smart shopping list. Negatives: Submitted recipes not being dealt with, better choice of recipes, food images don’t always match in shared kitchen, ability to create own areas (ie Fridge 1, Garage Freezer, Stair Cupboard). If these negatives could be looked into, would certainly increase to 5 stars
