I want to start off by saying I love this app. It shows Lego’s continuous commitment to enhancing customer experience. Pros: - Access to building instructions of retired sets. - Relatively straightforward and user friendly interface. - Pretty fast. Have some issues with lagging but overall it functions very smoothly. - BUILD TOGETHER MODE is the primary reason I’m even writing this review. It is such an awesome experience getting to build with others in an environment that has been built specifically with collaboration in mind. It’s an incredibly fun way to share Lego. For example, Lego is now in the regular date night rotation for my girlfriend and I. She had never been interested before. Con (suggestions): - Crashing does happen occasionally. - Interface does not make the build together mode immediately noticeable. It is, in my opinion, the biggest reason to use the app. Yet it appears on the home page a full “screen scroll” under other sets. - Loss of progress. This one hurts. Lost about half our progress in build together on Santa’s post office. Had to tediously go through each step. - In build together, allow an option to filter by “new”. It is not immediately obviously how many new sets there are unless you know how many were there before the update. There is also no easy way to navigate the new sets. I would like to be able to see them in a single list rather than scroll through ~500 sets trying to catch the “new” tag on the image. Especially when a new wave drops it would be nice to see which ones are on there! Regardless of the cons, love the app. Can’t wait to see it continue to improve.
I keep getting error messages when trying to register a set. And why am I asked what year I was born and clearly am an adult, but still have to solve a math problem every time I want to access my account to register a new set? This app may be helpful for those that need instructions, but that must be the only thing it’s good for.
Useful, practical, advantageous, handy, helpful, beneficial, convenient, and cooperative (a special thanks to thesaurus.com for helping out with this review.)
