App is difficult to navigate, not very intuitive. Reporting issues is more difficult than similar apps. Analyzing games played is also more difficult than similar apps. Great community of players.

I was downloading it for a plane ride and saw it was four stars and I was shocked I competed in chess tournaments for two years and this was my favorite app, I haven’t played chess since Covid and I want to get back into it so hopefully I can regain my skill with this app

Extremely slow. I’ve seen people blatantly cheat and the company didn’t do anything about it

This app is the worst. Can’t play with friends. Terrible setup and interface is better on Atari. Do better. Really thought that this was easy to use to play with friends.

Bad timing for their server to be unreachable, happens way too many times when I’m playing a rated game then I loose to time cause the server cannot be reached and my service is moving fast on other apps but lichess not reachable it hurts cause I loose rating especially when I’m already winning the game

This is perfect for you. Online chess is a big joke. 75% of people you are playing are just using engines to cheat you. Then you’ll run into IMs/GMs doing “rating climbs”. You may get your elo back from them which should make you happy to get ran over by these dudes who can’t get better at their own level. Why wouldn’t they stop cheating? Because they want you to give them money to “learn” so you can’t win too much.

Seriously you get everything that chess.com makes you pay for. They have free unlimited very good puzzles, great ranking system, great game review and many lessons and just such an amazing community!! I LOVE LICHESS!

I’ve been playing for a few months and my Elo is steadily climbing. I love that it’s free and has almost every feature Chess.com has for paid. The one thing I’d suggest is adding in (if possible) is a performance rating when we request a computer analysis of the game. We know what our Elo score is but it would be nice to see what our performance level for each game is.

I love this app, but I wish one thing would be changed: I want the developers to add the lobby into the app. Thanks!

The UX is poorly designed and out of date. The app can’t even follow the commands/settings after only 1 game. I doubt this was designed years ago by intelligently challenged people who aren’t meant to do the task anyways and the company has been keeping this trash instead of fixing the mistake. If you can’t manage to learn the skill just try to hire people to fix this failure. Management is clearly screwed and maybe the whole company is filled with uneducated creatures from top down. Lol btw they can’t even process requests I thought it was dead. But apparently they are deleting comments for this app so they were not dead but just too ignorant to fix their disgusting life.
