This app makes it so much easier to grasp the language you wish to learn.
I love the app, but there are some bugs that are really frustrating. Even when I do a lesson everyday, it resets my streak to 0 and lately no matter how many times I complete a lesson, it’s still marked as incomplete.
Love that there is Thai and Nepali. Hard to find these languages in other apps! Also love the mix of words and example sentences. Two requests for the developers: First, on older iPhones with our smaller screens the Ling interface often does not fit onscreen making it impossible to see parts of the question or of the answer that we need to select from. Second, for many languages that have non Latin script, learners need extra exercises to learn the script. Seeing a list just once is not enough! Keep up the good work!
I am a native Albanian speaker, I downloaded this app to review some of my grammar and vocab as I live in an english speaking country and have all my life. There is no option to change the course to a more expert level without paying a tremendous amount of money with no option of a free trial to see what I’m getting into.
I’m a high A1/low A2 learner of Burmese who’s been studying using a variety of resources for a few years now. It’s hard to find an app that teaches Burmese, so I was pleasantly surprised to find one that does. I appreciate the dialogues, and the ability to turn transliterations and translations on and off. However, I don’t think the app would be ideal for beginners as the app never really requires you to learn 1:1 word correspondence. It teaches you the phrases “He sleeps” and “I go shopping” and never changes it up to “He goes shopping.” I’ve also done 12 lessons and found at least 4-6 errors in the app so far (no choices, audio not matching text, and possibly a misspelled word, though the last one could be my error). Still, even if the word for “go” changes spelling when used in sentences, it would be useful to have a note about this in the app. I also suspect that the app may be teaching how to speak written Burmese which differs from spoken Burmese, though I’m not proficient enough to know this for sure. It’s nice to have an organized app for Burmese learning, but I haven’t decided if the good outweighs the bad enough to continue after the free trial period yet.
Feels like they treat as bag of money and want to take maximum of what you have. After each lesson promo offer, after each interaction - promo offer. Go f yourself
like the title says DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP because its a scam i paid for pro but i did not unlock all lessons
THIS HELPED ME SM
I’m using this app to learn Albanian and Bosnian. I would emphasize that you won’t become fluent just through using the app, and learning the language comes down to your own motivation and use of other resources too. This is by no means a criticism of this particular app, as I feel that apps like Duolingo also will not make you fluent. However, I feel that the app is easy to use and is providing good information and a great starting point to guide my learning further. It doesn’t teach you every single word, but it gives you some important basic ones for each lesson. As I use it more I am beginning to understand some of the grammar rules by doing the conversation exercises and am picking up on certain nuances in the languages. Overall I think this is a great app to use as a starting point. You will need to incorporate other resources if you truly want to become fluent, but it has been very helpful in guiding me. Other things I have added alongside the app include watching videos of native speakers and chatting with AI in Albanian to have real-world conversations in lieu of knowing people who speak Albanian. Don’t expect to become fluent using just one medium, but the app has only been beneficial for me.
