Amazing app

Be careful, I think the app itself is really cool but those free trial doesn’t work as they should, they billed me with a whole year plan and if I knew it would be like this I’d chose the monthly payment but no… they need to offer a free trial that doesn’t exist…

I started using the app for French. And that course was rich, well structured and all. When they added Swedish I expected the same but it’s a complete mess. It’s poor in contextual info (grammar info, synonyms, not accepting typos), and there’s is a HUGE number of errors in translation (either awkward confusing Eng. translation, or just plain wrong; for example “en bok” translated as “booked”), also many many straight up typos in Swedish words, so you’re actually learning words that don’t exist (reporteget instead of reportaget, stäng instead of sträng for “strict”). And these errors have persisted for a very long time, feels like giving feedback is useless. Huge disappointment.

I was offered to try a trial period and later cancel this subscription in the settings, but immediately after the subscription I was charged the full amount for the whole year, I want my money back because I really need it and because I think it's a scam

This app is great, and even when there are issues with the app the support team is always there to solve any issues!

The best app for picking up a vocabulary! You won’t even understand that you put some effort to study words. Gladly, Polish is now added (finally) which makes this app even better! But we really need to feature to reset the language. At least for the reason, that sometimes you may choose the wrong one and it becomes active for the rest of your life. Thank you for this incredible app, fellas!

Aplikacja wymaga płatnej subskrypcji żeby z niej korzystać.

Uczę się dwóch języków i przy zmianie „dziennego celu” w jednym języku, to „dzienny cel” zmienia się też w drugim języku. To bez sensu, bo moje poziomy językowe się różnią i chciałabym móc ustawić różne „dzienne cele” (np. 20 kart przy pierwszym języku i 100 kart przy drugim języku). Uczenie się „nowych słów” takich jak: pizza lub zoo będąc na poziomie językowym B jest zabawne. Przy uczeniu się angielskiego z polskiego aplikacja nie uwzględnia różnic językowych takich jak to, że w języku polskim nie odróżniamy czasowników „to lock” i „to shut/close”, co prowadzi do popełniania błędów.

Over the course of the last few years I’ve tried many different language learning apps and hands down lingvist is the best one. As for the more popular and developed courses, the grammar explanations are mostly sufficient, for Japanese or Korean I find them lacking, but these are the new courses, so it’s understandable. Spaced repetition’s working great, clear and natural audio, few bugs. And it allows input with apple pencil. Now I’m mostly using it to refresh my skills and it’s going great :) Now I’m just waiting for them to add Mandarin Chinese so that I can stop looking for a similar app solely for this language.
