Linn

I really would like the app to live up to to the sublime sound sound quality my Linn DAC provides - but alas - much is missing … UI is dated and a simple thing like shuffle within 1 playlist is not possible … come on … you have a brand to protect :-(

I am writing this review after rebooting the app the third time tonight. The navigation is upside down compared to any intuitive way of building an app. Instead of creating your own app try to have a look at Tidal or Spotify to see how they manage their interface. The integration with my Tidal account is so poor that I often use the airplay option which by the way is also lacking on Linn products. There is by the way an update your product option that does not work. Why not remove it?

At first I only liked the new look, but when I learned how to navigate as intended by Linn I like the principle usability too. I have experienced a chrash and had to reboot the app once. But after a few upgrades I hope to have a better app. Tidal integration is more aligned with Tidal’s own design.

Though I like the graphical style of this app it is just way to complicated. It’s very hard to navigate in the app and it is not logical at all. I will stick with Linn Kazoo though it needs a graphical update.

Immer wieder keine Verbindung, unübersichtlich und was am meisten nervt sind die fehlenden Songtexte. Tidal stellt die zur Verfügung, aber bei Linn können sie nicht angezeigt werden.

Kazoo war einfacher und übersichtlicher. Schade, dass es nicht mehr kompatibel zum Linn-Streamer ist.

Weiter so!

Ich besitze nun seit über 5 Jahren DSM Streamer von Linn. Anfangs mit Kazoo, seit Erscheinen der „Linn“ App mit dieser gesteuert. Leider muss ich sagen, dass die Zuverlässigkeit in den letzten drei Jahren stark gelitten hat. Immer wieder brechen Playlisten ab, Qobuz wird mal nicht gefunden, etc. Für mich ist das in dieser Preisklasse ein absolutes No-Go! Es ist auch nicht durchschaubar, ob die Firmware der Geräte oder die App die Probleme verursacht. Bitte, liebe Linn Softwerker, schafft hier schnell Abhilfe, sonst muss ich mich bei der Konkurrenz umsehen.

Mit ultra schöner Oberfläche

Eine solide App, die immer besser wird. Ich nutze die Linn App schon relativ lange und konnte feststellen, dass an der Verbesserung der App weitergearbeitet wird. Mein Kritikpunkt bezieht sich vor allen Dingen auf die Barrierefreiheit! Leider ist mit dem Screen Reader VoiceOver nicht alles wirklich gut erreichbar. Da muss man einiges tricksen, um alle Bereiche auslesen zu können. Abstürze der App gibt es sehr selten. Meist nur im Zusammenhang mit grundlegenden Einstellungen, die man vornehmen möchte. Ich kann diese App trotz all dieser Einschränkungen mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen!
