Lively ~ Cycle Syncing Reviews
Be wary! Will take money out on free trial
Id be rating this 0 stars if I could. I got sucked in by all the positive comments about the app on an instagram ad so thought id give it a go. I attempted to sign up for free trial and it charged me. Very annoyed at myself for not checking this out further.
Waste of time
Hate apps that charge you stupid annual subscriptions. Such a waste of money and do not recommend. Not helpful at all
Great app but too expensive for what it offers
I’ve been using another app for years, but Lively got a place quickly in my heart. I was trying to find an app that would allow me to cycle sync, and then I found this.
It’s a great app, very intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, nice that you can share part of your cycle with a SO… but I got the free trial for a week, and after that, I couldn’t justify paying the full price for what it offers, it’s not worth it, it’s just too expensive. It doesn’t offer something that would make the price point justifiable.
I understand it must take a lot of time and resources to build an app like this, and I wish we had more businesswomen leading apps focused on us, but currently the app doesn’t offer enough to make the price they’re asking viable, specially when it’s a yearly subscription.
Be wary of the “Free Trial”
Lively will tell you that they will notify you when your free trial is coming to an end, but instead, they won’t and will automatically sign you up to a full years’ subscription. And also not willing to give you a refund.
not a lot of options
im on the contraceptive pill, and i still want to be aware of my cycle and such, however there are no options for this and is really inflexible around all forms of contraception
Premium
Found this app through a very appealing instagram ad.
The first thing that pops up on my screen after the introduction to the app is an option to sign up for 1 year of premium. Please just let your users have a look at the app for at least day before the huge subscription pop up.
Lively, a blokes perspective.
Firstly I’ll start by saying this app is definitely helpful fellas, just cop it on the chin and when ya girl asks you to sync up do it… (instant bonus points)
Secondly, I’ve seen a few of the different versions of this app idea in my dating life and have got to say, if you compare it to some of the others that use RED (the colour of alarms, panic, rage, hell, Satan, stop signs) The colour pallet, design layout and softly written advice give a sense of calm when dealing with your misso’s hell week.
I for one would much rather that than a notification from the Red Alert the devils at your door app’s I have been forced to endure in my past failed relationships (not blaming the other apps, but it might as well be there fault…why not)
All in all, get in the good books, use the advice given by this app as a cheat code to making ya Dime piece of a missus happy and give her something to brag about at brunch with that group of girls she’s still friends with from
High school that you’d rather stub your toe than be around.
Customer service is AI
Their customer ‘support’ is AI generated and responds to enquiries with unhelpful and conflicting information. It really rubs me the wrong way that an app for women’s health and wellbeing doesn’t employ a human being to respond to paying customers. The app itself is average at best and quite overpriced compared to other period tracking apps on the market that provide more personalised insights to your cycle.
You basically HAVE to pay
In order to get access to any of their unique features you have to pay…? For example you literally cannot view the exercise recommendation for the day even though that is one of the THREE MAIN FEATURES? Literally use any other app lol
Won’t let me deactivate account
Won’t let me deactivate account. Keeps taking my money.
