Really enjoying this fantastic personal knowledge app. Hope to see plugins arrive for iOS.
The application, desktop (DT) needs the ability to link a Linux PC to iCloud Drive to start with, though unless you plan to have large asset files the default 5 gb Apple storage is not enough…so use a home NaS/server? The iPad version I find operates and renders inconsistent to the iPhone app. Ipad Lag time getting into edit mode on a block, I’m not able to do soft returns where the iPhone will do soft returns and not make a new block. I find I need to stop the app and relaunch , sometimes several times, to get some usable results. Now, it’s on iPad Air 2, could be because of older hardware.
Need to use two taps to get to the hashtag symbol. This functionality is much more important than bold or adding a YouTube embed which are currently supported.
As a desktop user this app really ups the usefulness of logseq. It’s an ever improving project and having a mobile version which integrates well with desktop is a game changer.
It’s a great app, everything works perfectly, only the graph view is always frozen. You cannot do anything with that frozen graph view. Please fix it and get 5 star.
A game changer for writers and students! Get beyond your writer’s block in minutes! Intuitive and simple, yet such powerful tool! THANK YOU! To the developers: thank you for making this product free! However, please add a donation button on your page, so we can show our gratitude for your brilliance and hard work! (And so that this program can be around forever!)
Haven’t used my former go-to editor (emacs) and syntax (Org mode) in a while because of friction in using mobile apps. Logseq isn’t emacs. It’s different and yet I can’t help myself but to feel right at home with Logseq. This mobile version is so smooth and such a pleasure to use. Fantastic work team: many props and kudos for such an amazing app.
The UI is glitchy. Editing more than a single line of text is difficult because the cursor is always one or two lines away from where my inserts and deletes actually happen. A whole paragraph may be truncated by sliding underneath an adjacent block of text. Database corruption error messages are increasingly common. Six months is a long time for an application to be without an update yet still be version zero. I prefer to use this product over proprietary apps, but the cost of that is apparently the risk that you'll need to migrate in frustration.
I started with Evernote (along with many Moleskin physical journals) many years ago, then transitioned to Roam around 2020. It always worked reasonably well - but the price was way too expensive for what it was, and I was concerned by the cult-like atmosphere and idiosyncracies of its founder. After trying Notion and Obsidian - which were good products, but never fit my workflow well - I stumbled upon Logseq. It has been a seamless transition from Roam, and offers more features than I'll likely ever need - all for a very reasonable price (free). I do pay for the sync program though, which has never had any issues and is necessary in my opinion. The only issue I have had is: frequently, hitting the "Return" key just moves to a new paragraph, rather than starting a new Block. I hope this will get resolved on the iPad. Logseq works flawlessly on my desktop(s), but I love having the portability of my iPad Pro.
