This app didn’t work. I downloaded and waited hours and nothing. Deleted it.
Description
Propel your mindfulness practice from the cushion into the world. Modeled after a practice in Buddhist monasteries, Mindfulness Bells are a powerful practice to remind you of your intention to be mindful. Activate the Mindfulness Bell and it sends you gentle reminders randomly throughout the day.
Turn it on, then as you're going about your day, a bell and notification will remind you to be mindful of what you're doing at a random intervals between half an hour and an hour and a half. Great for reminding yourself of your mindfulness practice while at work, commuting, at school or wherever your life takes you.

• Adjust the timing of the random bell, use the slider in the settings to find the timing that's right for you (see below)

Wonderful App but Have a Suggestion
Thank you for this wonderful app. It would be beneficial if the developer allowed the mindfulness bell to ring until its natural conclusion. Currently, the sound cuts off prematurely, which unnecessarily disrupts the intended calming effect.
Wonderful tool
Simple to use and very helpful for breathing reminders. Two small suggestions to make the app even better. Create a setting that allows for sleep where it turns off and back on at selected time frames. And for the frequency settings identify the time intervals between bells.

Worth the price
Not sure what the issue with the app is, but this was recommended to me by a therapist. However, despite being “random“, sometimes it would notify 5 to 6 times within three or four minutes. It was maddening. Interface needs a little tuning, and would be nice to have a set time like every 15 minutes, rather than relying on some weird algorithm that obviously doesn’t work. It ended up causing me more stress, so I deleted it.
Keeps me in the moment
I have mine set for the most reminder bells to remember to keep my shoulders down, take a breath and ground. This app is super helpful! By the end of the day there is definitely a difference. Only thing I’d change is the fact that it turns off all the time. Not sure why but when I notice I haven’t heard it in a while I just turn back on.
Confusing and pointless
I like the idea of this app, if it worked properly. You can configure which messages it sends you, but that won’t change anything. It’ll send you all of them anyway. I also have no understanding of how it times the reminders. I’ll get none for an hour or 2 and then get 3 reminders in a row. Very annoying. It’s easier to just set multiple alarms throughout the day.

Love this app! Amazing how much tension builds up in the body during the day. The gentle reminder from this app to relax and calm yourself is extremely helpful!

This app with its gentle bell is really helping me stay aware of the tension in my body. Not only is it helping me stay aware, it is helping me reduce the tension in my body. It is amazing to me that I need to be continually releasing attention throughout the day! I am very grateful for this app.
