Aggressive pricing
UI is not visual enough and simply too hard to use… on top of that, it’s definitely not worth paying for. Sorry :/

I don't want to pay just to add a simple card to my wallet it's hilarious that I can't use a basic feature of this app. In my (humble) opinion paid subscription should unlock extra features that might be relevant or useful instead of pay-walling the whole app
For me useless especially for such a price. It is impossible to normally add a strip image. The required image height is 450px, however if I prepare image in PS it still stretched to much
If I already paid for a MakePass subscription to enable AI I expect to be able to generate at least a few passes without being required to create open AI account and setup a billing plan separately. + star for shortcuts support
Bruuuh you need to pay a subscribsion to add a mf barcode
This app is the most powerful I’ve ever seen. I don’t waste my money when I buy it. But I have one suggestion to make this app better. I really want option in shortcuts about we can scan code from ticket etc (because we have another code on every document). Whe I ask Siri to make new pass she will only ask me about date, time and code. Everyone else will be copy by file when we have saved template. I really want this function.
With the availibility on all platforms, wide customisation, clean interface and mostly - support for Shortcuts - it’s by far the best app for making custom passes! I’ve been waiting for it for so long! Thanks to it I can finally organize my loyalty cards (as well as save them as files!) and use a quick shortcut action that adds a train ticket from a code screenshot or camera picture. Amazing! Thank you very much for the best in class delivery!
The only thing that I’m missing is adding pictures to header and inside the pass. Once developer will add this it will be a perfect app. Edit: with the latest update the app is perfect ! Thank you👌🙏❤️
Update: Pass2U or Passbook are probably better app choices for most of you out there. The AI integration in this app doesn’t do anything other than put the information into the correct blocks for you. Which if they had a template to see what you should actually put in each block, you wouldn’t need in the first place. I thought the AI was going to do something like cool Image art that matches the pass type. For example, I’m going to a Christmas market that requires a ticket, I thought the AI was going to put in a Christmas tree or something cool like that. But what I got was a gray boring looking ticket. I had a hard time figuring out how to use the app to be honest. I don’t know what all the various values/text field affect, on top of that, I don’t know what the various design features of the pass will affect. The developer might consider having a live preview (on iPad and macOS at least) that also highlights the area of the pass that is being edited when in the corresponding text field or UI area. Another app called Details Pro has this type of Live view for people to see their swift UI edits as they make them for app design. Finally, I subscribed to use MakePass UI only to learn the type of QR code that I was trying to make a pass for doesn’t work what so ever. So now I’m out 16$ without a use for the app unless the developer is able to add a feature allowing us to just add a png image of the QR code to the pass instead of the app having to read the code and create it itself 🤷♂️ This is why tutorials and in depth explanation of what works and doesn’t would be madly helpful for this technical app. Currently I don’t know how to rate it, I love the idea and the execution is close, however it’s just not perfect and I lost money as it won’t work for my situation. I can’t give it 5 or 4 because of this, I don’t want to give it 1 because I believe that’s harsh. I also don’t want to seem mean to the developer, I know he’s indie and the app overall will work for many I’m sure. I’ll give it a 2 but maybe consider changing to 3 if I’m able to get in touch with the developer or support and figure this out.
Don’t use anything else, and yes you can pay them it works.
