MantisX is a revolutionary training system that helps you improve your shooting precision.
Use of the app requires a MantisX Sensor which can be bought here: http://www.mantisx.com. It attaches to any picatinny rail (or rail adapter if your firearm doesn't have a built-in rail). The internal electronics of the MantisX Sensor collect movement data before, during, and after your shot. The app analyzes the data and diagnoses your shooting mechanics, provides real-time coaching, and determines what you need to focus on to improve most quickly.
MantisX is a powerful tool that will make your training more efficient and effective.

MantisX FAQ
Is MantisX free?
Yes, MantisX is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is MantisX legit?
🤔 The MantisX app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I have been using MantisX 10 Elite for several months now with more than 4000+ Dry & Live shots (3K Dry and 1K Live, more or less). This technology and the app is great. MantisX team did great and it will improve your shooting skills, BUT: This app and technology needs to address 3 key issues: 1- Accuracy: with every app update, it seems the app/device accuracy suffers while shooting. This happens both for Dry and Live Fire. The app often mistakes dropping the slide for a shot and recognizes it as a shot. While, during Recoil-meter Drill or MantisX drill, it misses many Live fire shots. The app and device are far less accurate during Live fire than Dry fire. 2- Precision: what’s the point of this technology if it can’t produce the same results again under the same conditions. Precision is significantly degraded during live fire to the degree where you cannot trust this device. At Open Training or MantisX drill; during live fire, my score goes down from 86 to 1.7 in two consecutive shots while maintaining the perfect marksmanship rules. During Dry fire, precision is much higher and better. 3- Baseline Data: The app needs to show baseline figures for all drills done by novice, intermediate and professional shooters. The data is available out there on the internet and the app needs to show it for reference and baselining. MantisX can use its customer base data. For instance, for the holster draw, it shows my total time as 1.9 seconds on average! Is this good, bad! Providing some baselines for all drills will help towards achieving such targets. Finally, the Team at MantisX has been updating the app almost daily within these two weeks of Jan 2023 with an update being released almost every day! It seems every update brings more bugs than it resolved existing ones! May we please ask that you check your QA and QC processes before making such releases. From what I experienced so far, the app is more buggy than it was. Please fix it! Hope you take these suggestions seriously! All the best!
This thing rocks
As a scientist I knew gyroscopes and inertia sensors would be miniaturized. This application is obvious. As a neophyte to target shooting this app is the bomb. I question it constantly but it has gone from trending, to showing your muzzle movement. This is awesome. Priceless for the investment I would have spent 10 x that in ammo getting feedback.
The App Does NOT Save Data or History
The app needs to have an option to save your history after each session. That way, it would be possible to monitor improvement over long term. Also, when trying to save the image to kinda save the results manually, the app crashes.
This app must to be able to save data automatically nonetheless.
No shipping policy & no answers
Ordered on a Thursday. It’s Monday night and not a single shipping update. Mantis says the product went out on Friday. USPS still has no confirmation of the product. Mantis says it’s not their problem and I can contact them again in 3 weeks if not resolved. Looking into cancelling and exploring a chargeback.
Live fire has never worked for me
I’ve owned the Mantis for a few years now, and dry fire works great. Whenever I take it to the range, the live fire never works. Every time, I follow the troubleshooting steps and nothing changes.
Time to integrate the Academy app
Using this app for dry fire would be waaay better if they could integrate the features of the Mantis Academy (real target and laser shot detection). I am somewhat disappointed that I spent $175 to upgrade my Blackbeard for a glorified gyroscope. 😕
Absolute Best Dry Fire application
Started using MantisX a year ago, sparingly at first and then regularly as I became more familiar with the product. Now I use it almost every day. It is without question the best dry fire application I have used and has made me a much better shooter and now, competitor.
What is most impressive is that Mantis keeps evolving and continues to get better and more flexible. The company regularly introduces new exercises, new courses, added functionality and better ways to evaluate your progress.
Buying the Mantis X-10 was the best money I have spent on anything involved in shooting sports and the value in what it has done for my shooting development is worth many multiples of what it cost.
I am such a fan of MantisX I have probably sold a dozen of them to friends and shooting partners. That’s how strongly I feel about the product.
Incredible Training Tool
I use it daily! Hundreds of shots minimum daily in the comfort of my own home, really benefits my shooting at the range when I’m actually paying for ammo! Couldn’t be more happy with my Blackbeard X and X10 Elite for both dry and live fire.
Cannot sign up
Have tried 2 different emails. Both say user name exists which is impossible. Tried recovering the accounts under my emails and guess what, doesn't exist. Piss poor for something that should be so simple.
They must really want access to your Facebook to spam you and steal your data. Delete the app and return your their system before you get scammed.
Used once so far.
This really helps me with jerking the trigger and pulling with my left had that I didn’t realize I was doing! Worth the money spent.
