Description

MantisX is a revolutionary training system that helps you improve your shooting precision.
Use of the app requires a MantisX Sensor which can be bought here: http://www.mantisx.com. It attaches to any picatinny rail (or rail adapter if your firearm doesn't have a built-in rail). The internal electronics of the MantisX Sensor collect movement data before, during, and after your shot. The app analyzes the data and diagnoses your shooting mechanics, provides real-time coaching, and determines what you need to focus on to improve most quickly.
MantisX is a powerful tool that will make your training more efficient and effective.

MantisX Reviews

No shipping policy & no answers

Ordered on a Thursday. It’s Monday night and not a single shipping update. Mantis says the product went out on Friday. USPS still has no confirmation of the product. Mantis says it’s not their problem and I can contact them again in 3 weeks if not resolved. Looking into cancelling and exploring a chargeback.

Live fire has never worked for me

I’ve owned the Mantis for a few years now, and dry fire works great. Whenever I take it to the range, the live fire never works. Every time, I follow the troubleshooting steps and nothing changes.

Time to integrate the Academy app

Using this app for dry fire would be waaay better if they could integrate the features of the Mantis Academy (real target and laser shot detection). I am somewhat disappointed that I spent $175 to upgrade my Blackbeard for a glorified gyroscope. 😕

Absolute Best Dry Fire application

Started using MantisX a year ago, sparingly at first and then regularly as I became more familiar with the product. Now I use it almost every day. It is without question the best dry fire application I have used and has made me a much better shooter and now, competitor. What is most impressive is that Mantis keeps evolving and continues to get better and more flexible. The company regularly introduces new exercises, new courses, added functionality and better ways to evaluate your progress. Buying the Mantis X-10 was the best money I have spent on anything involved in shooting sports and the value in what it has done for my shooting development is worth many multiples of what it cost. I am such a fan of MantisX I have probably sold a dozen of them to friends and shooting partners. That’s how strongly I feel about the product.

Incredible Training Tool

I use it daily! Hundreds of shots minimum daily in the comfort of my own home, really benefits my shooting at the range when I’m actually paying for ammo! Couldn’t be more happy with my Blackbeard X and X10 Elite for both dry and live fire.

Cannot sign up

Have tried 2 different emails. Both say user name exists which is impossible. Tried recovering the accounts under my emails and guess what, doesn't exist. Piss poor for something that should be so simple. They must really want access to your Facebook to spam you and steal your data. Delete the app and return your their system before you get scammed.

Used once so far.

This really helps me with jerking the trigger and pulling with my left had that I didn’t realize I was doing! Worth the money spent.

This really not worth the $ if you carry something other then a Glock 43.

My carry is a p938, sorta like a small 1911. Mantis sometime registers my safety and a dry fire. Forcing me to practice some drills without (which is stupid cause I holster with the safety on). Also the reload drills don’t work well/if at all because the mantis is installed on my clip. And finally mantis has a poor calculation of your shoot score, sometimes valuing time over target and other times valuing how level the gun is during trigger pull (which is impossible live fire cause you know… the recoil). Which all ends up giving me scores between 98-30%. Even tried a drill in a vice keep the gun level 100% of the time and still score vastly different scores each shot… when the gun was not moving the whole time! Making this only useful for Blackbeardx users and Glock 43 owners.

Don’t waste your time

Garbage product. Records about 40% of shots. Will record about 10% in double action. I’ve sent email to company, no response.

Terrible app

jocasc133 on

No support, app is poorly designed and probably not even tested. Courses require 4+ consecutive days to complete, as if everyone had that free time. Lacks a lot of information and the videos explaining of the weird random drills are cut in half by the app design when screen is on ladnscape.
