We do a lot of cycle touring and find Mapy.cz is fantastic for route finding, designing loops and navigating when we are on the road. We found in Taiwan that the walking option was best for cycle touring, but otherwise, in all the other countries, the cycling option worked well. We love the small roads it suggests for us. Thank you, Mapy.cz folks!
Great App but…
I love mapy as it shows more info compared to Organic Maps but two things that are critically missing from the app are: 1. Ability to easily to select start/end/stops and make a route which is critical for hiking/biking in order to quick check distances. 2. Contour lines in the Province of British Colombia! (It’s weirdly only in BC, the rest of canada, us and europe have them) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD THEM! It would make the app so much more useful for me and a lot of people‼️‼️ THANK YOU
Very Practical
The offline maps work very well when travelling, with walking directions exportable to GPX format for use with other navigation services, such as my Garmin watch. Maps include major hiking routes such as the Camino(s) de Santiago, GR routes in Europe, and hiking trails in the Canadian Rockies. Thank you!
Great app but can’t create password with US phone number
Been using Mapy on a desktop web browser and want to login on the iOS app. I need to create a password which involves receiving a code by sms. I don’t receive the code. I have included +1 for NA numbers but I get nothing. Would love to be able to access my own content on the phone but I can’t get access. I was able to create the account with my number and access the account on a web browser but now can’t set a password for my phone.
SMS account confirmation is not working
I tried to open account to be able see my offline maps on my iPhone and PC. I tried my two canadian cell numbers for SMS confirmation and none of them worked. I was able to go on live chat with the guy who said that everything is working on his side, but he doesn’t mind to give me the code so I can create the account. He did not take me seriously. After few months passed I’m reading reviews and I see that someone else has same problem as me so the bug still exist. Guys please fix it and do not assume that we don’t know how to put the phone number in international formats. Share by email address link doesn’t work either. Thanks
The best free downloadable maps app
I tried 10 other recommended apps for hiking and this one is by far the best. It's free to download maps, the trail I was hiking was in a nice thick red line and smaller trails were all there. The only issue I had was that starting downloading an update to a downloaded map deletes the old map before the update is finished, so make sure the update finishes or you'll be left without a map.
Unable to create log in
I get a 400 error message when I try to create a log in and none of the links would work for me to contact someone. The problem seems to be when I enter my phone number. Can someone please respond with an email address I can contact for assistance. Thank you very much.

It even works in China? I am impressed!
Downloading this map to guide my trip to the Great Wall in Beijing, and noticing that it even labeled some of the beacon towers. The trials are mostly accurate. Highly recommended for hikers in China.
