Super detail used both at home in GB and in Germany and Czechia for car navigation. Can use up a lot of mobile device power but can be managed. More information on subscription changes would be helpful.

Don’t update to 6.44.5 - subscription is enforced
First, my previous review is gone. Looks like mapy.cz deletes critical reviews. That’s very bad. From this version onwards they trick you, force you in subscription. It said “premium coming soon“ but it was already in that version. They refuse to help you to reverse to a previous version! With subscription you don’t gain new features, you lose multiple map downloads and offline navigation. Previously free, now only against payment. As you can see in their answers to other reviews , now they don’t distinguish between online (free) and offline (paid) navigation. Another misleading point! It is a disgusting attitude, appalling. After the update I lost tracks. They refused to help. The customer service is bad and does not help. Overall, bad development! I switched to Organic Maps. Bye bye.

Bye Bye Mapy. Hello Organic maps. Now that you’ve jumped on the subscription bandwagon for an extortionate price,I am reluctantly leaving you and change to Organic maps. Have a nice day.
Wrong direction by seznam
It’s a good app but the upsell to premium subscription button embedded into the map view tells us which direction they’re taking it in. They’ve obviously decided that fewer users who will stump up a fairly hefty annual subscription is the way they want to go. Good luck with that.

traffic does not work in other countries
Awful voice
The level of detail in Mapy is extraordinary both inside Czechia and around the world. I was surprised how much better it was than Google Maps when in the UK. I find myself reaching for Mapy as my main mapping solution. However, that awful robotic voice makes me cringe all the time - surely in the modern world we can have voice options that are less grating - I hate it. Also, given it’s a Czech app it’s always a source of frustration how badly Czech words are mispronounced! I’m sure fixing those things would make a significant to the app.
Offline limits are coming
Disappointing to read that offline downloads are going to be greatly restricted in the next version. The OpenStreetMap data is of course crowdsourced and open licensed. It shouldn’t require an in-app purchase to download. I’ve heard good things about Organic Maps which uses the same free data.
Love the interface
Really detailed, use it alongside OS maps and other ones. Downloadable maps are great too. Thanks!
There seems to be a problem
The map directions and navigation screen show roundabouts where there are only T-junctions. For example yesterday the navigation said and showed a roundabout with 11 exits (!) when in fact I arrived at a T junction with a left or right choice and I had to turn a simple right. This was on my iPhone/ CarPlay. Is this a problem with the iPhone update?
Possibly the best map ever
I am using the app in Europe and Asia it has been working perfectly for a year. This is the best app I have ever used for my travel and planning.
