New trails to me, that is. I am in the tip of the mitt (Michigan) and use the app almost daily for hikes. Especially when it is a new area. Very helpful, I used to get lost all of the time!

Pretty cool
The locations and trails and everything are quite accurate, and provide info that isn’t on Google maps, especially in remote areas. One thing that is consistently in inaccurate is the time estimations, if you are using the directions feature. It severely overestimates the times for walking, and underestimates for driving, at least in the mountainous areas I’ve been using it.
Great Map Application
This is the best map application I ever used. I love the very detailed map, evenly useful for driving and hiking. The navigation instructions are very accurate, and the tracker keeps your progress and history, so you will not get lost and have a log of your trail. But the best are world-wide offline maps, which provide independence from network service availability.
Best hiking app ever
It’s amazing for hiking. As far as driving it once brought me into dunes at Cape cod and once to category 4 road not suitable for driving.
Frequent crashes
Unfortunately Mapy.cz is no longer supported on iOS 15.7.2. On that OS 6.35.1 is the last supported app version and that is quite frequently crashes when zooming out. It was a great map but sadly I have to say goodbye to it. I don’t quite understand why a map has the need for the latest and greatest OS, since Google Maps still works just fine (although I am not a fan of that map), but whatever…

Great app - Just Not on iPads
I’d give it 5* especially as a map for hiking trails on a mobile except for it crashing on iPads. Still, disregarding its crashing on iPads, best map for hiking trails. Hopefully it gets fixed for iPads as that would make it easier for planning hikes.
zero customer support
A Scottish friend told me about mapy. It’s a great app but would like to create an account to access festires like saving etc. I have tried many times to create an account. No matter how I try I can’t send them the needed text to verify an account. Tried the help page (issue not addressed). Tried contacting on Twitter (X) Nothing. My friend tried. Nothing.

Cannot share directions
Created directions cannot be shared with others. 1. Login to your mapy account on a laptop or computer using the browser. 2. Create a direction from A to B 3. Click “Share” and copy the link 4. Paste the link into Messages and send it to someone 5. Ask the person open their Messages and tap on the link on their iPhone or iPad 6. You will get a message saying “Failed to open the link. Do you want to open it in Mapy.cz web?” Why a shared direction cannot opened in the mapy app?
