MAVIS Reviews

No 4K

I just bought this app and it does not seem to support 4K recording, In 2023 this is ridiculous

Latest update intro’d multiple bugs

ofaring on

Canada

Controls are mushed up now on the left side. Setting custom frame rates now requires tapping continuously, as you can no longer press and hold. Not sure yet what else is broken, but now won’t be using it for the project I was aiming to start shortly. I don’t want to risk it. Funny, this app barely ever gets updated, so I jumped on the “bug fix” release, and now it’s partially broken. The generic name, along with a million other “pro camera” apps on the AppStore may be an indication of what’s going on: owner change?

No AirPod support

David*.* on

Canada

No AirPod support. When you go to the MAVIS website to learn about audio input options, they give you a very positive feeling about having options for external audio input. It would sure be nice if they would actually mention the number one wireless mic option that people around the world use with their iPhone, which is AirPods. There’s no support for AirPod input. So annoying that their support section is focussed on marketing, rather than telling it the way it is upfront.

Best UI for pro filming but needs to be updated

CraigeryDennis on

I own a s have used all of the major filming apps for iOS and Mavis is by far my favorite due to the user interface and functionality. However, I have contacted the developer through their support email several times and have not received any responses. I am really hoping that they are still developing updates for this app to support the new iPhone 12 capabilities like 10 bit recording and Dolby Vision support. I’m also hoping that they update the app to take advantage of iOS 14.

Really nice app

Let me suggest something. To correspond my icc screen profiles from my pc monitor and ipad and iphone, i need to calibrate them with x-rite measurement geat. Your app would be cool if you could integrate a parameter where i could import icc profile for iphone or an ipad. So, the white points and black points and colors will look the same from the 3 devices screens. X-rite suggest a programer kit to integrate screen profiles import into apps as Mavis. Google it ColorTRUE Aware. Thanks for your helpful app.

Crash iPhone 11
