MAVIS – Pro Camera

Przydałoby się wsparcie gimbala, użyteczność byłaby jeszcze większa.

Poprawiono błąd w oprogramowaniu i teraz mogę korzystać z pełnej wersji bez konieczności dokupywania rozszerzeń, raz juz opłaconych. Program super, dla kogoś kto lubi świadomie kręcić filmy, z możliwością ręcznego ustawiania różnych parametrów to świetny wybór. Polecam, zabawa przednia:))

This app can't replace the default camera app. I tested it real-life scenario when trying to shoot friend's wedding and it didn't pass the test. First off, it's very easy to miss the record button on iPhone X. Desipte the tally feature, I didn't notice I wasn't recording immediately because of everything happening around. That never happend with the default iPhone app. Secondly, the app is slow to wake up and operate. The Camera app reacts much faster so I can always catch the moment. Last but not least, there is no flexibility with zooming - a feature I use extensively. I miss the jog wheel from Camera app to do quick zooms and switching lenses at the same time. It's impossible with Mavis. Finally, the UI is not fully customizable - the buttons are tiny and I cannot move/remove everything accordong to my needs. Also, I had problems with my purchased items - all off a sudden my in-app purchases where gone and I had to fiddle with restoring purchases (turned off cellular when abroad) - again, wasting time and moments to capture. Maybe the app is fine for people who are not in a hurry and need to use additional lenses. I just liked the video quality from this app.

Pro Res Support was added, thank you! However the option to record in ProRES 422 to an external SSD as Apple intended is still not a feature thus resulting in saving all the data to the local app folder or directly to your photo library which will fill up way to fast.

I downloaded this 3 years ago on an iPhone 11 and was blown away. The features of this app exceed what I have ever experienced, and the functionality is well suited for professional A/V use. I was struck by the interface, which included a both a vectorscope and a waveform monitor. It was unexpected and slightly intimidating to have so many settings at hand all at once. Definitely has a learning curve, and the going over the manual is a must (but easily accessible thankfully). You can’t just bust this app out and start recording immediately; it’s not really suited for casual situations or the average user. The most you can do is go full auto, but you are really missing out on the outstanding capabilities your iPhone has. I appreciate the developers and team behind this because of this apps complexity.

I’ve used Mavis for a while but am very disappointed to see that it does not support Apple Log on iPhone 15 pro. It also does not allow you to use an external SSD drive. Worst of all it does not allow you to record in ProRes on the iPhone 15 Pro as it did on the iPhone 14 Pro. Not really a fully functional pro app. The Blackmagic iPhone Camera app does all three.
