When it works it’s great, but this is one of the buggiest and most frustrating apps I’ve ever used. So frequently it freezes, crashes, fails to update, and recently just gives me a blank screen. It didn’t used to be this bad but it’s gone downhill. I just use the church website now to get what I need, I’m done with this app.
I previously wrote a review based on an incorrect understanding of my iPad. Now that I have that straightened out, the app is working again.
This app is great my grandma uses it so I downloaded it on my phone but I can’t make a account as my email or mobile number won’t work it keeps showing my grandmas number but it won’t let me get a new number on there
All of a sudden every time I go into this app it wants to sync I hit sync and it freezes nothing. I have tried all the suggested fixed for it even deleted the app and reloaded it. Nothing. I have to go online and sign into the main church website and go from there. But I don’t get my ward information 🤷♀️
Appreciate some of the additional features being added, and the updated UI is nice, but this app is so slow it’s almost unusable. Especially if you have to do any kind of stake level directory searching. Please invest in a higher (preferably the highest) bandwidth tier for your backend server.
It provides what I need and opens my eyes to more tools and information than I knew I needed. It continues to add more all the time.
I’m sure the latest update is packed with new features, but apparently I’ll never get to use them, because it keeps me stuck in an endless loop of trying to login, getting to the sync download screen, then right back to the login screen. Again and again and again, no way around it. So, since the new update, I can no longer use Tools.
Update is better (because now it works), but still not very responsive when searching members in the directory (which is probably the most used feature). Some basic navigation buttons can be pretty sluggish too. I’m on an iPhone 15 pro max. And the meetinghouse feature kinda doesn’t work a lot of the time. I type in a specific address and no meeting houses populate (I don’t share my location with the app). However you can type a city and state and one location appears on the map. why can’t we see on the map all the chapels in Mesa within a certain radius? And to just show the jankiness of the app, I can actually select the word “meetinghouses” on the meetinghouses screen and delete it/type over it. This feels more like a beta version. The other problem is the same with the library app… they are constantly changing major UI elements.
Works great, last update was really good and fixed a lot of issues.
So, the reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because it was nice when it worked, I could find phone numbers for people in my ward etc. But now when I try to sync, it takes forever and when it’s done, it just has a blank screen and there isn’t anything I can do. So could you please try and fix this? I need this app for church.
