Meteorfall: Krumit's Tale

I don’t enjoy the gameplay loop sadly

Man, games come and go on any platform but Krumit’s tale, I always keep. Waiting for the train or have nothing to do on a lunch break I just pop this out and play. If you enjoy strategy games this one is great, not for sitting there for hours but to give your brain something to think about for a couple of minutes. A full game normally takes (I think) 20 minutes and you can pause it at any point. The new characters give playability. I love this game and I hope the developer keeps not only exploring this world that they’ve created but just keeps making interesting accessible strategy games.

I bought this game on a whim not expecting too much, and found a game perfectly designed for mobile. Each run is fun and unique with a variety of locations and monsters to battle. The graphics are simple but beautifully drawn and well animated. Every character you choose from is incredibly unique as well. For example you have your stock standard fighter who can get good weapons and armour. Then there’s the mage who relies on attacking enemies on the board outside of combat. Then the rogue who relies on sneak attacks and running away. I still haven’t tried the last two characters yet. Perfectly balanced with no microtransactions, just a dlc character.

Got to say this is one of the most fun rogue-likes in the App Store. Each of the characters have a very different feel to them.

Great game. Plaguebringer seems to be broken, “no valid targets”. This is on the boss run.

Excellent game. Is there a way for the game progress to be saved from my iPad to my iPhone? I see the achievements carried over.

This game deserves to be at the top of the charts. The strategies are deep, the animations fun, and the gameplay rewarding. I wish I could go back and play it fresh, as though I’d never played it. Oh, it also has vibes of Adventure Time. Two thumbs up! Please make a sequel or a follow-up game :)

Developers!: Your ‘war drums’ card doesnt work, it says its supposed to replace the opponents attack with 2 but it doesnt do that, it replaces with 3, so its not working right, fix it and you can have more stars. Reader: a fun game for sure, each character has different approach, but there arent ALOT of unlockable cards for each character, so the sense of progression doesnt last long. But it was fun while it lasted. If they did more updates it would prolly be more fun. Also as you saw from above, some cards dont work right and the last update for this game was 2022 so im not sure this game will get fixed.

This game is excellent and very replayable. If you are reading reviews and allowing peoples opinions on, say, whether it’s possible to beat the game I have beaten it numerous times with every character (including the upgraded difficulty modes you unlock when beating it each time). If you are confident in your logical ability then rest assured it is very possible so don’t let them dissuade you.
