The conditions of the loyalty program are getting worse and worse. In order to maintain the status, it is necessary to complete twice as many flights as two years ago. It all goes where the sun don't shine.
It happens frequently that the flight status is not always up to date, especially during delays information provided is not easy to understand and at times not up to date or reachable at all

I need to do web login each time I open the app and it thinks I'm there for the first time so getting all of the annoying pop-ups...
It takes ages before the app will start underlaying awards website. Is it 2022 or 2012? A very poor user experience for the Europe’s largest airline.
App keeps me logged off, impossible to log in back, error in app 99% of time I open it, keeps telling me wrong password even its right …
In the newest version there is missing Czech Republic country for selection in Award flights 🤦♂️
Awesome example of how not to make mobile apps! And great example why not to try to save money on app development by using hybrid approach - will use this app as a demonstration to our clients. Extremely bad UX demonstrated by following journey: Unless you want to check your miles, which is quickly accessible, everything else to do requires quite a big effort to find. Milion level menus, functionality hidden in 2 milion places within the app. But you can still live with that. The worst is if you actually want to redeem which I experienced now. You really need to want to redeem. Strongly. And be very patient. Single sign on - is that really such a big trouble to share login between app and web (where the switching between these channels across the whole app is very annoying?) My journey: 1. Pick your reward - easy and convenient 2. Click redeem (this should be IMHO end of the process, but it continues): 3. Redirection to web - nothing except the product prefilled - you need to copypaste card number and enter PIN (although different details used for app login). That means you need to go back to the app and reset your details. Requesting new PIN - you need to leave the app and get to mail. Email comes 10 minutes later. Get back to app, which resets your choice, get back to step 1, but remember your generated PIN! 4. After step 3 (for the 2nd time), you finally think you can finish your order. Nope. Because you are not registered on the LH shop (why did I need to put my card and PIN then?). So, fill all your details (already well known to Lufthansa). 5. M&M number is prefilled at the end of the registration form (oh, pure tech geniality!). Just enter your PIN again. The one you reset at step 3 (that means you do not remember the number, which is generated, not user defined). No problem, it’s in your mail. 6. Open mail, memorize the PIN 7. Get back to app. Yes, it really happened, the app does not remember the session from web. Get back to step 3. And really, make sure you remember your PIN! 8. After selecting your reward few times, travelling between mail and app, filling few forms multiple times, remembering random numbers combinations I might eventually get my reward some day. Bravo Lufthansa! I’ll be glad to provide some advisory on how the app should look like, for free, because your example will help my business quite a lot :-)
