Supported models include Apple EarPods, AirPods (1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen), AirPods Pro (1st and 2nd gen), AirPods Max, Powerbeats Pro, and Beats Fit Pro. While other headphones can be used, results may be less accurate. The Mimi test serves as an initial evaluation of your hearing. Please always seek advice from a medical professional.

Mimi Hearing Test FAQ
Is Mimi Hearing Test free?
Yes, Mimi Hearing Test is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Mimi Hearing Test legit?
⚠️ The Mimi Hearing Test app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Tried a few and this was the best. I did like on another app that green, yellow, red thresholds were defined at 25, 45, 70 db HL- useful context. I would be interested, relative to my age, what percentile my hearing falls into. This would probably be my top request as it would help me identify how bad my hearing is compared to others.
Then this is perhaps beyond the scope of the app but seems like an obvious continuation of it, what next? “Monitor your hearing loss”, “Contact an audiologist”, etc.
Awesome app! Suspicious of my AirPods Pro though…
Unless my hearing has miraculously recovered by 20% a decade after losing it to thousands of hours around jet engines, I’m a little suspicious AirPods Pro might be too good at their job to let you miss the beeps. If you need accurate results, it may be worth trying the test with all the pods features turned off. 😂
just go to an audiologist
it was fine but didn't match up with a professional test and only supports certain headphones
cant use it from iOS17.5.1
so
What happened?
I’ve been using this app to monitor my fluctuating hearing loss for several months now but the redesign no longer lets you see your previous tests. Luckily I’m still connected to Apple Health but it was easier to flip through the tests in the app
Ruined the best hearing test on the store
The new 6.0.0 version removes support for audiograms; this test was previously the best one available for iOS by a very wide measure, but without the ability to export the measured audio data to Apple Health, it lost most of its usefulness. I’ve tried a half dozen other hearing test apps, and not one of them even comes close to good enough to replace what Mimi lost in this update. Giving three stars instead of one in memoriam of what this app used to be.
Won't go past connect your headset
Horrible!!
Not Accurate
It stops if I can’t hear a sound and wants to start over. isn’t that the purpose of the test?
Same as last year, start over if I can’t hear the beep. Really stupid test!
Wonderful and simple at home hearing test!
Love the simplicity and user friendly interface.
Always wondered how well my hearing was, but haven’t had a hearing test in ages. I’m planning on repeating this test regularly and to share it with my family and friends ❤️👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Doesn’t recognize headphones
Tried using the app with my AirPods Max. App didn’t recognize that I had them on.
