Mineswifter (Minesweeper)

When you use the hint to show where to solve, it plays a tone and 1 or more squares flash for about 1 second. You are given an incentive to use hints sparingly because each time you use one, it gives you a 5 second penalty and.uses of hints go in your stats. The problem is, the larger the board and the more unsolved squares there are, the harder it is to see what squares are flashing in the time the hint is shown. If you miss it, you have to hit the hint again and get another penalty. If you play at night, you might want to play with the screen dim, but if you do, this makes the flashing squares very hard to spot. Hints to reveal the answer don’t have this problem because they make a permanent change on the board. Possible solutions: A - If you press hint again without having made any change to the board, do not let it count as a new hint used (no penalty and no second usage of a hint goes in your stats). This will let the player press hint to re-display it multiple times without it counting against them. B - Redesign it so that hint squares are continuously lit and/or are colored differently (instead of flashing) until the player interacts with the board. If the player wants to take note of the hint squares, they can take a screenshot.

I tapped to add a flag, now let me wait 2 seconds before the flag appears and I can make my next move... or find out that the app blew up the mine instead because it has no idea how long I tapped for. Unplayable.

A beautifully designed version of minesweeper. Smooth to play and simple with just the right amount of control customization. Daily challenges are a fun way to change things up as well.

It has no ads which is a rarity these days and has a awesome UI, it honestly looks like a app Apple could release

The fact that it’s solvable is a great bonus

I’m loving this game. I do, however, find the controls a bit clumsy. The when tapping to reveal number the long press to flag a mine takes slightly too long and as a result I’m gett a lot of mistakes. 😢 a minor tweak would make this game absolutely perfect. Love that there’s no ads!!

I love that all games are solvable. The only suggestion I would make is that the UI should make it obvious where the edge of the board is. I've often made mistakes because I didn't realize that what appeared to be the edge of the board was actually just the edge of the current screen, and there were more tiles beyond the edge if I would scroll further.

Great app. However, it crashed when my alarm went off.
