Usually works, sometimes doesn’t

randommeaninglessname on

An old and clunky UI, with more clicks needed to navigate than ideal, but generally works…but the app doesn’t reliably work. Upon starting it often fails to connect to the remote sever (why can’t it be stored/triggered locally?) then starting a heat pump says it is running…but doesn’t actually start the heat pump. Some heat pumps start but others some simply don’t. Why? Unknown. The lack of feedback or information is frustrating. Some days heat pumps simply don’t start or turn off, and continue to fail for unknown reasons.

Much easier to use than the remote unit provided with the heat pumps. Can cotrol all heat pumps in the house with only one app.

Needs HomeKit support added

If I could just ask Siri to turn on my AC, this app would be perfect. Please add HomeKit compatibility to your next update.

New update is so good!

KiwiFruitLoops on

The app has recently had an update which has been a massive improvement! My heat pump turns on nearly instantly now with no issues, and now has a timer functionality built into the app. Perfect, thank you for updating!

Great App but needs HomeKit

iPhizzel on

Please add Apple HomeKit functionality. That would take this app to 5/5

App does not function.

TL;DR: don’t pay extra for WiFi, it doesn’t work. Just get an adapter like Sensibo Sky or similar. Tried to create an account for the first time and for starters, the app didn’t allow me to use my email with my own domain (backup gmail address was ok) and also wouldn’t let me use a password with symbols- it says “numbers and letters only” which is a massive security flaw. I pushed on all the same since it’s just been installed in my house and I was keen to try it out. I got to the screen where you enter the MAC address and another unique identifier, and just got “this machine does not exist” as a response. Double checked that I’d entered details correct and I had. To top it off, the app looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2003. If you’re thinking about paying extra for WiFi functionality, don’t, and just get one of the many third party HomeKit heat pump adapters available.

Dated

If the developer are reading this or if someone is considering buying their air-con unit beware the wi-Fi control lacks most functions on the hand unit, it’s clunky and it recently keep forgetting your passwords. It needs a complete overhaul not a patch.

App works ok but totally lacks HomeKit support

If I could control it using Siri, it would get 5 stars.

Missing functions

acidnz on

Very basic app that is missing key and basic control features. Complicated to set up too. Would have thought a large and well known company would have a proper control app.

Covers the basics but underwhelming.

First the good: we have four units in our home, a 3 way split and a larger single. It’s great to be able to turn them on and off from my phone as it’s a lot more convenient (and less cryptic) than the remote. It is however missing some pretty basic features: * ability to set sleep timers or auto off times (eg cool my bedroom for the next hour while I go to sleep) * ability to skip scheduled rules some days without editing - like don’t heat my office on a public holiday although you normally would. * integrations with Apple HomeKit and/or Google Home. * a documented API for people like me to write our own integrations (eg Home Assistant) * ability to modify the wifi network or credentials used by the units. * ability to work offline - this appears to actually be a cloud based web application - can I still control my units when my internet is down? * it would be nice if it didn’t look like I was visiting the 1990’s web while trying to use one of the most expensive electronic items I’ve ever bought.
