App is terrible and unworkable
This app is impossible to work without frustration. It looks and works exactly like their regular mobile online site (which itself is super frustrating and doesn’t work), has endless pop ups that make it impossible to tap any buttons, is super slow with a lot of lag, and the search bar doesn’t work and only pulls up a “subscribe” page.
It made me rage quit and give up on buying a dress I actually was really interested, because it was almost impossible to find it again on the app.
Keeps getting worse
What is happening with this app? It just keeps getting worse. If you select “clothing” you’re taken to an account page. You select “sweaters” from the center navigation, you get the same. Choose “plaid” and it goes nowhere. Can’t get to any clothing. It’s basically useless.
Filters are just broken
Why are you relying on customers to test this app?! Apparently skirts are considered pants?!
Unsecure Password
Ever since I had to change everything over to this “ModCloth fan” thing or whatever it is nearly impossible to log in. Every time I log in it informs me I have to change my password because it is insecure. Funny thing is when I actually do decide to take the time to change it, I change it to the same thing! Point is, this annoys me so much I don’t bother changing my password and has I get discouraged and don’t bother logging it to make a purchase because the “ I don’t need it that bad” kicks in. I went from making a purchase often, to maybe one a year. I’m only making this review hoping the developers might change this feature 🤷🏻♀️
Horrible app
Really like the clothing but I just get to mad at app to shop here. It even has a thing to download the app like I’m on a webpage well on app. It’s like a bunch of people who have never seen a smartphone built this app.
Even the app is vintage!
App is extremely outdated. Very difficult to use and not user friendly. I cannot log in/find my account but I am still receiving texts from them because of how the app made me « log in ». You would expect a lot more from a business like this.
Agitating chime sound
There needs to be an option to turn off the chime sound when *every single page* opens. It makes browsing the app incredibly annoying and is why I haven’t made a purchase in a long time.
WHY IS THIS APP BEEPING
So far can’t figure out how to turn off sounds on this app – I will absolutely stop shopping here if not - it’s a nightmare!
Turn off that chime
It is not cute to have a sound going off constantly that can’t be silenced. Also the back button is in a very weird spot. Honestly one of the worst apps I’ve encountered. But the worst is the chiming- hope you want to wake up anyone sleeping nearby or alert everyone in a 10 foot radius you’re on this app. Absolutely awful and no signs they’ll ever update it or even care.
Can we just scroll like normal?
I am only writing this because I think Modcloth can do better. For a brand that used to have an amazing app this is a sad departure. The scroll jacking is frustrating and all I can do is on when using the app. Can we just scroll like normal? It’s almost painful to use the app because of the extra swiping and gestures it takes to do what should be native. Let us scroll already!
