If you want to buy and hold BTC and a couple of other cryptocurrencies then you can’t go far wrong here. The charges are reasonable and the app is easy to use and view. What is really good is that it clearly shows you how much you’ve invested to start with and how it’s doing today in percentage and currency. In other crypto apps that is not easy to see and often impossible to work out.
Disappointing at the moment with more work for this app to do. Buying and selling is straight forward but try a withdrawal/transfer to another wallet not a chance. Keep getting “put in a valid BTC address”, so you use the relevant QR code; nada/nothing, painful. Will review again in a few months.
The fees are very high, Bitcoin withdrawals on chain cost around £2 at most. Mode charge £15+ to withdraw Bitcoin. Stay away.
I wanted to withdraw a small amount - £10. It wouldn’t let me sell that much Bitcoin. The minimum is £20. I thought I would sent the £10 in Bitcoin to another wallet - cost was £7. If you can’t pay in Bitcoin without a £7 fee, then what is the point of bitcoin. Eventually managed to retrieve my money by paying more in and then immediately taking it out. What a complete faff. Oh, and you can’t talk to anyone - just an ‘answer bot’ on their chat. Pointless app, now deleted.

Mode got me my refund but it took weeks, not the apps fault but be aware SCAMMERS USE THIS APP

I had a lot of money transferred into Mode and then they froze it and I sent them countless documents as to prove my source of funds. They told me it will take 2 days to complete and every couple days, they would say the exact same thing. Now they are saying there is no timeframe. Be very wary if you are putting in large sums of money because you may lose it.
