This is an app I would recommend to everyone who is interested in physics, Theodore Gray writes with the approach of a master physicist and matches it with the flair of a master craftsman...fascinating. Five stars.

In addition to the amazing wiggling molecules, the app contains the entire book of Molecules, with all the objects interactively rotatable so you can see them from all sides. Going further than The Elements, the app includes dozens of innovative and intriguing “still life videos” that reveal the true nature of substances through close-up interactive video.

Bit Pricey but Very Good
If you have "Elements" and enjoyed it, then you must get this too. It's not a text book it's a marvellous, educational, entertainment for anyone with even a little interest in science and chemistry. It may seem a bit expensive but it looks gorgeous and the amount of work that has gone into this is obvious. I think it's what iPads were made for and so I think it's worth every penny.
Fascinating
This is the third app in the series after the elements, elements in action and now this. If you want to use your iPad for more than "just" games then this is the sort of thing that you should consider, I have all 3 now and can recommend them. I was, to be honest expecting this to be around £2.50, the cost of elements in action but there has obviously been a great deal of effort gone into producing this. I am only around 10 percent or so through it but is excellent and seems pitched at around the right level for a non academic (but not an imbecile either) like me to understand. They all use a lot of memory so perhaps not really suitable if you only have a 16g iPad.
