Money Lover: Expense Manager

This app was so good a few months ago and now it’s just garbage. They merged all categories, I couldn’t refuse this if I still wanted to use this app, but as someone else said we had 0 control over this. However, this is not my main issue. My main issue is that I have a shared wallet with my husband. He created it so he is the owner. Up until October, we also had a budget in this SHARED wallet, which now I cannot see. We both paid for the pro app, so we could BOTH see, create, and edit the budgets in this SHARED wallet. However, after the last few updates, I cannot see the budget, only my husband can create, edit, and see what’s going on with our budget. I emailed the team and after a few back and forth emails, they said that it will be resolved with the next update. Ok. Yesterday I raised an issue again and, figure this, the shared budget feature is no longer available since update 8. This was the main reason we used money lover AND paid for it, and you disabled it for no reason? Unbelieveable. Also the home page is completely useless, since it does not recognise the shared wallet and believes my balance is 0. I do expect a response AND a solution to this problem.

I've been happily using the app with my wife for 3 years now and the 8.0 update completely screwed all my organization and personalization. Let me explain: Firstly, I can't cancel the the new reorganization of categories. I can only accept it. Secondly, I can't reorganize them as they were prior to accepting. I can see my own categories at the bottom. Why not the other way around. Keep it as it was and add the new ones at the bottom. You basically said: screw your customization, from now on you'll be using our app like this. Thirdly, after i made peace with the idea, i click organise and guess one: you ask me if I'm sure i want to do this. Are you f****** kidding me? No, I don't, but I have no choice. Fourthly, and this is the most depressing one, I can't delete the new ones so now i will have double categories for the same thing. The one i used to use and the new one. More chaos incoming for me and my wife, thank you very much. Fifthly, I can't merge the new ones with my old ones so I'm stuck like this. Not no mention that i now have work to do on both phones to reorganize. Hopefully i remember the way they used to be. And of course, there's no way to go back to an older version. Considering that the damage is done now (for those who already updated) please let us delete categories or at least merge them. And for those who didn't update yet, maybe you can issue an 8.0.1 version where you let people actually make a choice wether they want the new version or the old one.

Hey so... It's great that we now have global categories, it's kinda been the main feature we wanted since forever. What I didn't appreciate AT ALL is how, after updating, I couldn't access the app until I agreed to merge them all, with zero control over the process. It's a whole MESS now! I don't even know which ones are mine and which ones are just auto-generated categories from wallets I never use. All of my hierarchies got screwed... I'm seriously bummed, this is years of organization gone in a tap. And there is currently no way to delete unused categories! Or even merge them anymore! I can barely make sense of what's going on in my category list and it's kind of a nightmare. Seriously, let us delete the ones we don't use! I was so excited about this update and now I'm really depressed with the chaos it caused.

Very easy using in tracking expenses and incomes. Good at making budgets.

Let's say you want to track how much money you spend on clothing for your dog and how much you spend on clothes for your cat. And let's say that you don't have have a dedicated account to buy those dog/cat clothes. Then you would have to add those 2 categories by hand FOR EVERY SINGLE WALLET THAT YOU HAVE IN THE APP. Oh and then if you want to modify a category you have to go through tens or hundreds of categories because in the category list you have listed the same category ten times (if you have ten wallets). Sorry for previously bashing the dev team

Truly dissatisfied and disappointed by the elimination of free features. You can’t see history transactions, you only have the predefined icons. I used this app together with my family and it was perfect, but starting with Nov, it’s pretty much useless.

Really great app turned horrible when they removed access to transaction history for previous months if you do not buy the app.

I really wanted to buy the license, but it’s a different price on each device i tried to use the app. The app its good and i use it daily, but i don’t trust it enough to use my card details into buying it since everytime i open it its a different price.
