Excellent program

I have used MoneyWiz for many years now, it is simple to use and automatically syncs between all my devices. I recommend it highly.

Simply the best

Have tried several, free, personal accounting apps since 2013 but recently gave Moneywiz a go. SO glad I did - it really is THE best on the market. Didn't need the fully connected version but the basic subscription is well worth the money - so easy to manage my bank accounts across all my Apple devices. Highly recommended!

Brilliant, Just Brilliant!

I wouldn’t be without MoneyWiz having used it for years now. I have even bought this app for my two adult sons to help them with their financial management. So customisable, so personal, so…well….brilliant! There are so many money management apps out there but MoneyWiz stands head and shoulders above the competition.

Issues creeping in

Up until recently, a solid performer. But there are bugs and issues creeping in now. Example: accounts connected to SaltEdge (one of the banking sync services that MoneyWiz uses) download transactions with their payee incorrectly set in the Description field (the actual transaction description is lost and the Payee field in the MoneyWiz app is downloaded as empty). Categories are also not automatically set anymore. SaltEdge itself is showing its age, with similar apps to MoneyWiz performing far better (ie. no need for leaving the app and switching to Safari and then on to the bank app to authenticate, back to Safari, then press a button, before returning to MoneyWiz, leaving 2 tabs open in Safari). Finally, I REALLY don’t like how the MoneyWiz team don’t email you to warn that the subscription is about to renew. This is so wrong, and just in itself is enough to make me want to cancel the subscription and get a refund.

Swiss-army knife of financial apps

This app is hidden gem. It offers so many options, either you want a lightweight budgeting tool or an accountant level wealth management system. Give it a try, spend some time learning it and it’ll change your way of managing your finances.

Too complicated

I really got on well with the previous version of MoneyWiz but this really confuses me. Having said that, it is the best around so will stick with it..

Needs a little work in areas.

Reconciling is difficult. It needs to put a balance of the money reconciled not leave the total balance in. That’s not reconciling thats ticking off the entries. Which is of little use. Money manager did it best when you ticked an entry is it put in the total reconciled Also you need the option on creating a report to say no graph. Need to be able to do an expense and income report at same time. I have a item that’s both income and an expense. The issues I have highlighted before still exist I still find the reconciling a frustration. The other frustrating thing is every report you generate you get a graph. Was promised a option to have no graph. Waste ot time a graph every time if your reporting on one item you get a great orange circle that means nothing to no one. I have to say support is good and they are quick to respond if you get an issue.

Brilliant, Just Brilliant!

Transactions in wrong order

I can't use this when connected to my bank because if there's more than one transaction a day on the same account, they're shown in the wrong order in the app. I've contacted the developers about this and they say it's because my bank isn't timestamping the transactions correctly. Strange, because I've tried at least 3 other apps that connect to my bank and none of them have this problem Update April 2023 - just under 2 years later and still the same problem only now it’s with 2 banks. So neither shows up correctly but other apps don’t have a problem. Please ditch Salt Edge as you mentioned in 2021. Also all balances are wrong for both banks Update February 2024 - now the problem persists over 3 different banks and balances are incorrect too. I've given up, I doubt they'll ever sort this out

Best Money app ever

I have used this app to handle my personal finances since it came out, at least 10 years ago, and I would be lost without it. I didn’t even mind when it changed to a subscription model as their customer support is second to none.
