Moody Month FAQ
Is Moody Month free?
Yes, Moody Month is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Moody Month legit?
🤔 The Moody Month app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
It’s a little sloppy/overwhelming to look at and use. I wish they’d simplify the look and make it more intuitive. I also agree with others that I don’t need to use alternative words for the medical terminology of my cycle - in fact, I’d rather normalize saying “I’m in my literal phase right now” instead of “reflect” or whatever. The notifications are also seemingly random. If I’m menstruating, the app says my hormones are at an all time low at this point in my cycle, however, the notifications Im getting are about going out and being social due to higher hormone levels…hello? Which one is it? My “rest” phase or not? Why is it so hard to make a cycle app that is simple, easy to use, and accurate? Also to charge for it is ridiculous. We already have to buy products for a bodily function we can’t control- now I have to pay to inaccurately track it? F off tbh. 🙃
not inclusive
i’ve been using moody for a few months. i like a lot of it, especially the daily check-in. but not all those who menstruate are women and the app uses exclusionary language. i’m nonbinary and i would like to continue using this app but would really appreciate some language updating.
Love the symptom tracker
And especially the option to add custom symptoms to track, it has been so incredibly helpful and I’ve noticed a number of patterns I wasn’t expecting which helps me be more accepting and compassionate towards myself
That being said, I really wish the phases were named by their legitimate, scientific name and not the cute names like “Rise” and “Shift.” It feels less empowering (and less convenient having to find the true scientific name for such phases from other sources). It’s been mentioned before and the developers have alluded to taking it into consideration for updates, but nothing has come of it
Widget
I just got this and am liking the free version so far. I was wondering if a widget of a calendar could be made for my home screens that shows when I have checked in and when my period is predicted to be. Thanks!
So so so helpful.
I’m in my 30s and have just gotten off hormonal birth control after being on it for 12 years - I wanted to for health reasons and to just let my body do its natural thing. As my body regulates, I found I wanted to be able to track and understand my body more. This app is organized, educational, uplifting, validating and all the things I never knew I needed. I’m experiencing phases that I never really knew about or understood fully (especially going through my cycles naturally now) and I feel so much more in tune with my body. The creators of this app really put in so much work and time into curating an experience for their users that is personal and ACTUALLY helpful. Hands down favorite app of 2024, well done guys! 🙏🏼
Meh.
This app is FULL of misinformation & it doesn’t work right half the time. I cancelled the free trial & was still charged for the annual membership for whatever reason. 🙄 Don’t get this app. I deleted my account + removed the app from my phone, so hopefully no more charges occur.
Worthless
I tried setting up the app to see what all it offered and I accidentally subscribed for the year. $40??? There are a ton of free apps that do more. Plus I couldn’t get my money back.
Love it, needs improvement
I love the holistic nature of this app and what it provides, as well as the very detailed tracking. However, I do wish you would add the actual scientific language to represent the phases of the cycle. “Rise” and “shift” are great when considering the more holistic type of concept but you should also include the actual terminology for the phases. It feels incomplete with the inaccurate labeling.
Useful App - Just Needs Proper Terms
I love the app, it’s functional and helpful. The only suggestion I have is that I wish it used proper terms for cycle phases. It says things like ‘shift, rise, bleed’. When I’m trying to research nutrition or medical information for my cycle it’s all written as ‘Follicular, Luteal, Menstrual’. I would like an option to know what the actual proper term is for each phase so I can quickly look up the information I’m looking for. If it’s on the app already, I haven’t found it easy to locate.
Other than that minor suggestion, the app is great!
Quick little feature request!
I’m a minor, and I would HIGHLY appreciate an option to turn off things that should only relate to adults.
I do not care about my l!bido. I haven’t even finished high school yet, bro!
