The scheme that you get helps a lot, it also gives al extra motivation to keep going and it has enough variation
I’ve found the workouts on the app to be good, although they do seem to be very similar each week with regards to reps and sets of the same exercise. Could do with an option to add in extra sets or even add in extra exercises to the workout to adapt to individuals.
Ultimately, this could be the perfect app - but it’s usability is incredibly frustrating and ultimately led me to cancelling my subscription after 4 months. For the price, I’d expect a smoother user friendly experience and hopefully this will improve in time. The app crashes every time you try to do something else on your phone, meaning you have to keep reloading your workout session every time. The longer you get through your program (say week 8 of 12), the poorer the app performs, becoming very “laggy”. You can swap some of your exercises, but only to the preloaded options - it would be nice to have a custom exercise box as some of the suggestions aren’t suitable if you have injury or can’t do certain types of movements, meaning if you swap for your own exercise you can’t keep track of it. I think with the bugs fixed, I would have stayed subscribed. But unfortunately it just needs more tweaking.
The Morsia app is amazing!! It’s helped me so much, not only with reaching my goals but giving me confidence!! My time in the gym flies by now, since I’ve been following a plan. I look forward to it, which makes me feel a lot happier too. Plus I don’t ever find Matt annoying, he gets to the point and covers all areas clearly.
I’ve used a lot of fitness apps but I’ve been using Morsia for about a year now and this is definitely up there as my favourite. There are lots of different plans to choose from depending on your goal (e.g. bodybuilding, power lifting or fat loss), and there’s even a choice depending on the equipment you have available so you can choose to do a dumbbell plan or a home plan if that’s all you have access to. Programmes from past challenges are also available to use if you want to. All your lifting data is stored in the app so it’s really easy to see your progress, and there are also meal plans, recipes, shopping lists and tuition videos which are all great and really helpful. The only criticism I had was how long workouts were taking because I train at 6am before work and I was struggling to fit in the sessions which were about an hour and a half at one point. However, a section for ‘limited time’ programmes has now been introduced for 30 minute and 45 minute sessions which I’ll definitely be using. Overall, a great fitness app with plenty of choice, help and easy to use.
Please add weight tracking in kg as well please
The app has been great the last couple of years, but it keeps signing me out recently! Please fix
Joined the app to take part in a 9WEEK summer challenge with the potential to win £2000 cash (apparently) they selected a winner based on a 2year transformation. Although I agree the guy did a great job, it feels very disingenuous to put a competition for a select period of time (9weeks) and then credit the winner for a body of work much larger than the selected period of time. It would be like having a max deadlift competition and the individual with the lowest deadlift wins. Very disappointed with Matt and the team
Sad to say goodbye but I’d like to thank the Morsia app for helping me get to a stage where I can now work on creating my own programmes and know how to train properly / not aimlessly .The app is great for tracking and the notes feature is brilliant for those extra details to help you progress. I would maybe download again in the future
