Jeg vil beskrive MUBI som streamingtjenesten, hvor man kan se de lidt mere ukendte film fra hele verden, men som fortsat har rigtig god kvalitet. Udvalget lader dog ikke til at være kæmpe stort, og så håber jeg, at der en dag vil blive mulighed for at sætte danske undertekster på alle film.

To keep it short and simple, Mubi presents all the films that nobody other streaming services does. The world of film is so much more than Hollywood. The greatest, and most original and hailed films rarely come from there. Luckily Mubi understands that.
Over the years I have been looking forward to subscribe to MUBI and be privy to all the diverse wonders of cinema. After the initial excitement, I began to feel let down by drawn out shots and plots that went nowhere. I have been a huge fan of the French and Italian new wave films and South Korean crime mystery films that are tantalizing new or simply classic. I was disappointed by Blanchet’s Manifesto or Bresson’s Mouchette that left me unsatisfied and in a quandary that was not full of wonder, but a feeling of being cheated and enticed by names like Denis Hopper and his catastrophic The Last Movie (if only…!) But I love Hopper and his works like Night Tide and Out of the Blue with Linda Marr from 1980. I plan on discontinuing my subscription as the films displayed are too obtuse or inaccessible. You can’t please ‘em all…
I sign up, filled in my credit card info, they sent me an email to activate my account but the link is not working/exported (I literally did this all within 15 minutes), so I’m stuck with a service I can’t loginto or use. It feels really amateur hour. Super disappointed.

Boy, do I enjoy me some good ol’ films!
While a service like Criterion might be preferable for those looking for the essential titles from the history of film but MUBI is the ultimate resource for those of us who have seen so ridiculously many movies that we require curation of both classics and more obscure deep cuts.
The content is magnificent, but the app is somewhat lacking. Jumping to a specific place in a movie simply does not work(!) Categories for discovering movies could be improved with more variation.
