My Chihiros

Horrible app, unable to use my lights and adjustments. Profile gone and unable to login with all these unresolved updates.

Was ok until the app decided I can’t even log in anymore (it also logged me out). Every time I try to login or even make a new account it just puts me back to the start. Now I can’t access my light at all, and yes I tried uninstalling- updating- everything you could think of! :) now I’m stuck with a 60$ light that won’t turn on because this app is absolute trash.

Spent the money for lights, have only been able to use the app once. And it was just to test. App won’t login wether it’s gmail, chihiros login, or passcode. Also. Not many people want to keep some crazy detailed journal about their tank. I can guarantee 99.9999% of people only need this for light controls. Had to go through multiple pages of stuff to fill out to even get to the light settings. I get it, you guys want the users to have a cool edgy experience with high end lighting, but focus on the basics! We can’t even set up our “expensive lights”.

Spent $300 on a light only for this awful app not to work 70% of the time. Often has issues connecting to the device. As of today the sign in function is not working so you cannot use the app. Why do I need an email login for an app that controls fish tank lights? WHY? Please fix this garbage app so I can enjoy the light.

I’ve been using this app for a few years, now, with the same email. I couldn’t access the app about 20 times over an hour, so I decided to try rebooting the software. Now it keeps saying that my email address is wrong when I even double checked before logging out what it was! I even tried creating a new account and it STILL is telling me the email is wrong!! I really needed to keep my tank light on so I could finish trimming. Now I’m stressed, wondering if the lights will go on at all in the morning. Like another reviewer said, Chihiros, why do you want to risk your reputation with a disastrous software that doesn’t hold up to the rest of the quality of your products?!? Your competition would stay nervous if you got your act together and majorly revamped your software for the better. Instead, you’ve kept your prices expensive and done nothing about this. There are now other companies with same (arguably better) quality lights for much cheaper. WAKE UP YOUR IT DEPARTMENT or risk losing business!!!!!

Would be really great if there was widget/shortcut support

Connection consistently drops off when you’re using it, like other reviewers have mentioned, customized curves are very difficult, because it’s drag based instead of being able to point, and type to create smooth curves. Overnight light settings seem to glitch out in the morning I frequently walk in and don’t see my lights on for the morning cycle. I love the light itself quality surprising that the app is so poorly designed and marginally functional. It would be great to be able to connect via Bluetooth on a computer and log into a device webpage somehow.

Chihiros really needs to read these reviews and make changes to the app. Almost every time I open the app it forgets my lights and I have to re-set them up. At the very least put buttons on your lights so the app can be bypassed if the app refuses to work

Automation does NOT operate unless light is within Bluetooth range of phone and phone has not put app to sleep. Completely useless app/Bluetooth receiver. Negative 5 stars if I could. Absolutely garbage. Light is beautiful and illuminates my tank nicely. Would have gone with manual dimmer switch if I knew this piece of crap needed my phone to be in range to work. My schedule is set to be on when I’m not even home. Didn’t realize my plants were getting zero light!!!! Luckily I can set it to manual 100% and use a smart plug to control it being on/off.
