Is My Medibank free?
Yes, My Medibank is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is My Medibank legit?
⚠️ The My Medibank app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
You can see by the number of similar reviews there are a lot of iphone7 or earlier users out there. All of these are now excluded from live better & the app in general by this unilateral decision. Medibank has done no prior research to find out who your customers are. Medibank is the only healthcare fund offering an app that is for iOS16 & upwards. & yet Apple continue to issue updates for iOS15- thereby keeping it safe & secure.
Your developers have let you down in this regard Medibank- & not for the first time either. Many of us suffered through the databreach last year too.
You have no idea how many users are affected by your recent upgrade, & yet you have gone ahead & implemented it. This is very very poor from a long standing customer point of view.
Disappointing
Unfortunately the app does not display any providers in the NT on either my phone or my iPad
Medibank app update
It is rewarding to know that Medibank keep up to date so far as their app is concerned. However, the recent app update excludes those who aren’t able to support iOS 16 on their iphones. What option to these members have to still be able to access Medibank on their iphones ?
No longer compatible with the OS on my devices
Version 8.8, released December 2024, isn’t compatible with the OSs on my devices, which are admittedly older. I am now blocked from using the app with no notice, an app for a service I pay for. There should have been change management around this to let people know in advance about the change. Surely the app developers know which OS the app users are using.
Can’t open
App won’t open, says download the newest update but the App Store won’t let me.
The app won't start
I encountered a lot of problems since the app updated to version 8.8. It either take more than 30 seconds to start or stuck at the starting screen forever.
Locked out of App
I tried to open the App to use it, but it told me I need to update ……so went to App Store to update, but new version requires IOS 16 or higher - but I only have 15.8 and unable to upgrade to 16 as the phone is an iPhone7 ===> very dissatisfying, as I’m effectively now locked out of the App ☹️
Is it possible you could make the App backward compatible with older versions of IOS, please?
App denies access to my account
I am an iphone7 user that as of now is unable to use your app because your app directs me to download your update that requires IOS 16 or later. iPhone 7 can’t upgrade to IOS 16. How am I supposed to access my Medibank account now? I can’t even login from your website, which auto directs me to your app, which then directs me to an update which will not download on my phone. Are you going to fix this so I can continue accessing my account through your app?
Cant upload receipts
I have constantly had issues with this app not uploading receipts for claims. When I screenshot the receipt on my iPhone it says the image isn’t clear enough. When I save the receipt as a file, it won’t upload it. It’s been happening on and off for years and driving me crazy as I pay so much for hospital and extras, I expect to be able to claim back more easily than this.
Update of app to iOS 16 and above
As a IPhone 7 user as are still many users when the app was updated recently it will not allow me to use the app on the phone
I was using app to see my account and also earn points off my Fitbit but now I cannot use the app to do this
