The app would sometimes open the web browser and go to a suspicious url that is thankfully blocked by my phone. Is this normal?

Great app yes, but pls make the app in a way that it doesn’t need to redirect me to its website. It’s quite annoying. I would just click on the genre of n anime and then I’m redirected to the website, was the app not made so that the users don’t have for use the website anymore??? Can u also make an option were we can search by genres.

Fix reviews display
One of my main reasons for going to MAL is to read reviews. Unfortunately, the display of reviews on this app is just terrible. It just loads the website version of the review page, complete with non-mobile-optimized page layout. Also, an ipad version of the app would be nice.
Hassle free anime tracking (UwU)
So far so good, this app is the best in tracking my anime watch progress! Just a little more features though like the Interest Stacks and Anime Search.
Notifications
Update: Thanks to a response from the dev, it turns out the notifications for the site is in a separate category somehow. Why does it seem to be impossible to turn off notifications for site news that comes in the app? Even with all notifications toggled off, it seems like short of turning off notifications entirely in the Settings app it won’t stop.
