THE MYDS APP, WITH YOU EVERY DAY
MyDS, the application for DS owners, allows you to connect to your vehicle with your smartphone. It has been designed with integrated technologies to enhance your DS driving experience before, during and after each journey.
Before: The location of your parked DS vehicle is displayed on a map along with your current location, helping you to find it more easily*.
During: The app tracks your journeys and monitors the distance, fuel consumption and driving efficiency of each journey*^.
After: Once you’ve parked your DS vehicle, the app can help you to navigate the way to your final destination on foot*^.
The MyDS application will display data specific to your vehicle including the fuel level^, mileage^ and reminders of when scheduled servicing is due.
MyDS also offers several other helpful features:
- Manage multiple DS vehicles in the same application.
- Locate nearby DS dealerships and their contact details.
- DS news and offers relevant to you.
For added convenience, MyDS also provides you with all of the useful telephone numbers, allowing you to easily get in touch with DS Assistance, Contact DS and DS dealerships.
In order to profit plainly of the app's features, we ask you to give MyDS App the access to the following features :
- Location
- Bluetooth
- Calendar
- Notification
All DS models are compatible with the MyDS application. However, if your DS is not equipped with Bluetooth, the ‘Driving’ tab (which provides details of your journeys, fuel consumption and mileage) is not displayed., You can still enjoy all of the other features of the app.
* - Available with a smartphone that has a network connection and geolocation services.
^ - Available for vehicles equipped with Bluetooth.

Most useless app I have ever come across. I want to activate my navigation system, but I cannot do it

Sync Issues

It’s a nicely designed app, and is easy to use for the most of things. However I find it does not sync well when plugged in through my car (for example when using CarPlay). The last time it successfully synced with my car and data it was April 2023. Would be great if it could sync wirelessly.

API gateway is down, unable to verify email.

The app is useless now

The app has always been a bit hit and miss but now it’s entirely useless, unless you want to know what charge was in the car 5 hours ago, remote activation of the aircon no longer works either. Hard to believe what’s been a good reliable little car has such a terrible app. I honestly can’t understand how, even when the phone is plugged into the car it still can’t tell you the percentage of charge left.

Doesn’t work properly

Sometimes records my journey to work, never records the return journey, pretty useless really. DS is this the best you can do ???

Trip recording

Used to be an excellent tool until, possibly an DS developer, mucked it up!!! It no longer recognises the basics tasks it’s supposed to monitor ie journey dates, times or last parking location. I raised this with customer services in December and have been trying to expedite a meaningful response and a solution ever since. Standard answer is”it’s been escalated to technical support”. They designed it so is it unreasonable to assume that they can fix it!!!! Pretty poor throw away response displaying a couldn’t care less attitude to customer service. Doesn’t really support “DS being marketed as a premium brand”. I continue to live in hope.

Maps

Update 15/03/2023 not logging journeys, mileage seems to lag behind 150 Miles or so than actual milage. Again finally got a map update, the thing is its still over 10 years out of date, roads around here in Walthamstow E17 have changed to either 1 way or No Entry years and years ago, so map still asks you to do instructions which are impossible! Terribly sad can't get the basics correct! 😛

What has happened?

It’s taken me a week to try and download two weeks’ worth of data as the app no longer would sync when I got in the car. This seems to be since the last app update. The app used to pop up when I got in the car but now it doesn’t. I have to open it for it to connect.

Hit and miss.

When I first got the car, it wouldn’t talk to my iPhone. Eventually it did but sometimes it will lose data. Really disappointed with the sheer hard work to get this app to be anywhere near useful or reliable. Today it’s taken all of my driving data and binned it somewhere. Service history is OK but I use the app to track my fuel usage in these trying times. Lucky to get two stars, it’s crap. Would I buy an electric car from you guys? No way. If you can’t get a simple app like this to work, I hate to think how crap the car software would be.

Can be better

I used another brand’s app before, all functions are almost the same. However I find this app is not very stable, I have not been able to connect to the vehicle data since December, I tried every means I could to reconnect my phone and the car and still haven’t been able to do so. I wonder if this is the problem with this app or my car. I hope this can be improved later. Thanks.
