They charged me $50 just to tell me I needed to go to local urgent care, total waste of time and money.
Yesterday was the second time I saw Dr Brown. After being with my primary care physician for approx. 30 years, I dreaded changing. We wanted a good doctor and one who could admit us to Methodist Hospital in the Medical Center, in case we needed it. After all my two children were born at Methodist. Dr. Brown did not disappoint at all. He listened to the symptoms of my sinus and ear infections and provided meds to assist in curing. Despite the fact that I had a flu shot he tested me for it, due to my symptoms and prevalence of flu in his patients. It’s well worth the drive from far West Houston to see such a good physician. And the staff at the center were equally good. Margaret Teresa Ferro
My family, me, and extended family all go to Methodist Houston and are seen by Methodist Houston Doctors. You practically have to walk on water to work here.
Really appreciate the service and care we get from y'all. God bless
Quick and easy way to communicate with care team.
I love the easy accesss to my doctors and their staff. If I have a quick question I can write it down and ask it with an immediate communication. This helps both my Dr. and me. My health issues are given the care and the response that are needed!
It isn’t easy. I call , get put on prompts to get to switch board operator , who then asks me the same questions as the prompts. I’m not put through to my doctor , instead a message is left for them to contact me and the game of phone tag begins. If I miss their call , I have to go through the switch board operator all over again. I wish their was a direct line to my urologist. Carleton Kruse
There are numerous issues with my loved one’s most recent visit. I’m not even sure where to begin. The first and most alarming issue was my family member being approached by three individuals that walked in from the street, asking to buy narcotics while the family member was left in the Dunn Tower Lobby while waiting on a room to be cleaned and ready. I had gone to the hotel to pick up the family member’s suitcase and was told what happened when I returned. The issue was immediately reported it to security when I found out. The second issue was/is a major lack of communication between the patient/primary family caregiver and the individual providers. I’ve already addressed this with the patient liaison and provided specifics. Both the patient and I were told specific things by one department which apparently violated hospital policy in one instance. Then referral information to a specific specialist was supposed to be in the discharge paperwork and was not included. I had been told by the doctor it would be so I could make the appointment. As I write this review, I still have no idea whatsoever who the specialist is that I’m supposed to call. The third concern of mine is not being able to monitor specific sodium, fat, calorie intake as with other hospitals. I was repeatedly told the kitchen knows. That really isn’t an acceptable answer for the patient or care giver when it is something we have been told by the doctors to monitor it. The last but not inconsequential concern is the urine stench that hit me like a wall each time I entered the patient’s room. Housekeeping bleached the bathroom floor once during a six day stay. I do not think it was a matter of the the tile but the extremely old carpet and couch. I suspect previous patients have had accidents and the carpet or couch was never cleaned properly. That leads me to ask why a hospital so intent on cleanliness would have carpeting in patient rooms? I still do not know how my family member could stand being in that room. Houston Methodist is better than this or at least I thought so.
Excellent Care. Every procedure was explained and staff kept me informed of what was being done and why.
